| Iced Tea- Way Cool Aid- THC Sugar syrup! This is a recipe for Medicated Ice Tea... BUT you can make any drink that you would add sugar or honey to: Lemonade, Fresh fruit punch...even Kool Aid. You can also use the syrup to make frozen ices and drinks in the blender. It involves suspending the cannabinoids in sugar in what is known as a micellized syrup. To begin use dry bud or sugar trim and make a strong tincture (190 proof Everclear is best, 151 proof rum is 2nd best and 100 proof generic Vodka is OK). Grind your herbs to a powder and then add just enough alcohol to cover the ground herbs. Let it sit in a DARK place for a 2 weeks. Then strain the alcohol from the herb thru a coffee filter. WEAR RUBBER GLOVES....it will go right thru your skin! Place the alcohol tincture in a double boiler over an ELECTRIC burner OUTSIDE! Alcohol fume can *explode* is no breeze is present, so outside is best. NO GAS BURNERS OR FLAMES! Reduce this liquid in half over low heat. Say you have 16oz. of reduced tincture, add 8 oz honey (or 1 pound of sugar and 6 oz of water - add the wet sugar very slowly to avoid any "clumping") Stir till the sugar is completly dissolved, then keep stirring till it gets thick..and is reduced to about 16 - 18 oz or simply "pretty thick" syrup. Cool it down and put it in a glass container or bottle. All THC is damaged by light, so a dark glass bottle or covering it with duct tape can help. Refrigerating the syrup is best. WARNING!! REMEMBER CHILDREN WILL TRY ANYTHING! If you have kids in the house be very careful with any edible cannabis product! The strength will vary depending on the amount and quality of cannabis used. I use 2 tablespoons to a small glass of green iced tea with mint for a medium dose. You can also sweeten hot or cold cereal with this or even make popsicles. If you have a "Soda Water Maker" you can make your own medicated sodas. It's also a pretty good way for getting your medicine when you can't smoke or vape due to colds or surgery. Elderly people who can tolerate sugar or honey may find this easier to take than smoking. Enjoy! Not a User |

Rep Power: 24 | Iced Tea- Cannabusted! THC will not stay disolved in water... WHen the Tea is fresh and hot there will be THC available...but as soon as you put it in the fridge--bye bye THC. It will come out of solution and stick to the sides of the container. making a cold cannabis drink cannot be done with water alone. Lots of Sugar could disolve the THC, but it would be syrup like. |

THC Tinctures reduced with sugar and water to form a syrup MAY do the trick as the alcohol content will trap the THC and allow it to pass into your system this is still a great idea for hot teas

The THC is broken down into tiny, tiny molecule clusters that bond with sugars. Alcohol, sugar, water, agitation and heat are the keys. It's NOT simply "sugar water" and tolerates dilution well without separation. The bond remains when you dilute the syrup. There is a "breaking point" where the THC will fall apart from the sugar molecules. You would have to dilute it and agitate it till it was well over 50x the original volume that was reduced. Many vitamins and medicines are made by micellization. Stay well, NaU
