Rep Power: 27688 | Cannabis seems to have potent anti-tumor properties, according to the several studies posted on WT on the subject. I'm no doctor, but if I were your friend, I would want to gargle with tincture, hopefully to get the tincture in contact with the tumor. Drinking it should do the trick too, as it would slide past the tumor on it's way down the esophagus. About making Infusions in Butter, Veg. Oil, or Wood Alcohol (Vodka etc) The most potent possible infusion is strictly defined chemically as a "saturated solution". A saturated solution is one that has in it the maximum possible quantity of solute. That is to say, any solvent will only dissolve so much of any given dissolvee. E.g.: A cup of water will dissolve only so much salt, and the rest of the salt simply sits at the bottom intact. So you want to make a saturated solution for your friend, in butter, alcohol, glycerin, whatever. There is a formula for how many ounces of herbs per pound of butter. Likewise for alcohol and glycerin. Use more and you are wasting meds. Use less and you have a less potent result. Maybe someone here can list the recipes for maximally potent infusions. I'm sorry I don't recall. I think it's something like a quarter ounce of good flowers per pound of butter. Note, there is more medicinal essence to dissolve in high quality flowers than in shake and trim and low-quality flowers, so you want to adjust your recipe for the quality of ingredients. Rep Power: 49 | Re: Friend in serious need....!! good post. i recommend that you shop for a cannabis cookbook. there are tons in print and online. what i suggest, you are going to have to experiment with your recipe to actually "lock-in" your potency desire. potency will be affected by whatever your're cooking with. i will tell you this though, you want the most THC extraction you can get. by eating it, you are getting close to nearly complete extraction- if done right. remember, you can have all the THC extraction that you want, but until you have some real FAT in mixed in, the THC will not attach itself to anything, and you will have minimal if any effect. good luck. |

Rep Power: 71 | Re: Friend in serious need....!! Snagged from one of my old posts: We can't discuss specifics for making bud-butter here, but... when I infuse butter with oregano and lime juice I simply use a crock pot, clarify the butter (look for the highest fat content european butter for the best herb extraction), add all herbs and flavorings, and strain through a cheese cloth after a day or two. Then right into the freezer and it solidifies into butter again. I can then make my meals tastier by adding flavored butter as needed. I do the same thing with garlic, rosemary, and white pepper. One dab of flavored butter can really make a steak or fish an unforgettable experience. |

Yeah. You can avoid most of the goo by clarifiying the butter (removing the white protein solids that float to the top when you first heat it). And I use 1lb butter to 1 1/4 OZ of oregano. But only the best oregano (gigo). Best of luck and better health for your friend. | |

Rep Power: 0 | Re: Friend in serious need....!! I like using the infused olive oil recipe. I think it's easier to make than the butter. I will PM you with the info for that recipe. So sorry to hear about your friend. I hope and pray she will be alright and will be victorious over the cancer. Much Love, Alice |
