Rep Power: 97 | Flavor Profiling Different Strains.. so as i can see by my name i cook for a living... been interested for years about cooking w mj and sadly havent done much experimenting yet... mostly off of the recipes i have seen say "1 cup bud" or "add bud butter" and so forth. but i want to know from u guys if you have noticed different flavor profiles from different strains, and which strains have you found to best compliment your dish, not only with flavor but nice medicating as well... im sure if u use the same recipe w 2 diff straisn it will taste different. but thats only my cook side talking havent tried yet.. peace Flaco |

i think the quality and flavor of the butter you use changes the flavor profile more than the type of strain. i usually use high fat european butter (not salted) like plugra or kerrigold. the thc attaches to the fat molecules of the butter, so not only will it taste better to use good butter, but will be more potent as well. you can also make canna oil ---and the flavor profiles will be very different depending on the type of oil you use. | |

Rep Power: 97 | Re: Flavor Profiling Different Strains.. not sure about cannabutter as ive not made it.. BUT i have made infused oils , the type of oil u use does deeply affect the flavor, but it whatever your infusing the oil with ( in this case bud ) it should pick up the flavor of that strain... we all know that all strains taste different when we smoke them, so same should apply to when we eat them.. my whole goal is to try and compliment the flavor of the strains.. if they taste great smoking id like to bring that out in the food... peace |
