Rep Power: 26606 | Re: Elephant Bar! i hate to be a party pooper........i've only been to the EB in palm springs (palm dessert?) but i thought it was just like most chain restaurants.....average food and somewhat overpriced for the quality. the food was fine, but to me, nothing special. i try to avoid chain/corporate restaurants. i find that they tend to "dumb down" the food to appeal to as many people as possible and they are seldom a good value for the dollars spent. i'd rather give my money to a small individually owned restaurant where the owners/chef care about the food and flavors that they are putting out. also, i prefer to keep my $$ in my community by supporting local businesses (especially in these times). just my 2cents. |

Rep Power: 310637 | Re: Elephant Bar! Had a horrible experience there on my birthday a few years ago. I emailed management the next day and they were on it. They comped my family another complete meal, drinks included, and made sure it was as enjoyable as humanly possible. I can say they definitely try to take care of complaints. Good food, great desserts |

living in southern california, where there are a ton of authentic ethnic restaurants (at a fraction of the price) and amazing small places, why would you choose to go to a place like elephant bar? | |

Rep Power: 333 | Re: Elephant Bar! If they were worried about how much food they were giving you they wouldn't give you a HUGE plate full of food. Just like claimjumper.. Sometimes I can barely walk when I'm coming out of there. And there food, is amazing.. and I can watch them cook it right there if I wanted to, there kitchen is open to anyone that wants to watch. There drinks, are some of the best. I know this restaraunt may be a chain... but its a chain i'm going to be adding liks to |
