| Re: cooking with premade cannabutter If ud like a STRONG recipe. Go with a recipe that calls for tons of butter ! lilke short bread ? brownies ? rice crispies ? they all use tons of butter in the recipe. I allways follow the directions for baking as usual ,then when it comes to the butter part I just ad double the butter .Ive had problems adding too much butter to a recipe, turn out mushy ,but way effective . So bake away and have FUN . nice meeting u bro in the vape lounge |

| Re: cooking with premade cannabutter The good ones at the 99 cent store ! Or . go to VONS and check the back of the box. look for one that calls for alot of oil or butter, remeber, brownie recipies on the shelf usualy use oil, alot of it, Just replace the oil used with bud butter. brownie mix =super easy . |

Rep Power: 26606 | Re: cooking with premade cannabutter homemade brownies are the way to go. 1. no artificial ingredients or preservatives 2. very easy to make 3. most recipies call for more butter in them than the box mix (and brownies have more butter in them than cookies, cakes or breads. more butter = more potent) 4. you can use higher quality ingrediants ---they will taste a whole lot better 5. portion control. you can cut the brownies to whatever size that will give the correct amount of medication for you. my favorite recipie is martha stewart's fudgy brownies. you can probably google it to get the recipie. i buy the ingrediants @ trader joes ---much cheaper and better quality than the grocery store. i find that fudgy brownies are more potent than "cakey" brownies. i also usually add additional hash or kief to the butter while it's melting w/ the chocolate to increase the potency. hope that helps! |

Rep Power: 75090 | really strong brownies go to a large market and look at several different brands of brownie mix. SOme require a third cup of butter or oil, some a half cup, and I think betty crocker asked for 3/4 cup. I used betty crocker so I could put more butter into the mix. |

Rep Power: 0 | Re: really strong brownies The reason that most edibles are cookies/brownies/etc. is because the THC ingredients in MMJ work best when they are in a fat-soluable format. Really, if you're using the store-bought cannabutter then you can substitute it for whatever regular butter your recipe would call for. I suggest Chocolate Chip Cookies, because it masks the taste. |

Like garlic bread, chicken alfredo, pesto (which masks the color/taste of MM for me) stuffing, baked potatoes even (nice and easy if i want something soothing when my stomach is sensitive)....yumm....maybe I am just hungry for dinner!!:slaugh: :slaugh: |

I like to do a baked potato w/ MM butter and chives. A friend of mine does twice baked potatoes w/ cheese etc and uses the butter in that mixture. She will also cook an artichoke and season the MM butter w/ garlic etc and dip the artichoke petals in that. YUM. Something fun is to make actual butter (unmedicated) from scratch. Pour whipping cream in the blender and blast it on high until it becomes solid. It has a nice fresh taste. Hungry!!:slaugh:

Rep Power: 0 | Re: cooking with premade cannabutter get the $1 bag of cookie mix. all you add is water, butter and and egg. melt your budder and add it to the mix. put more budder than it calls for so its like soupy. pour into pan like you are making brownies. cook for 25 min. It will look mushy and it wont hold together unless you put it into the freezer. So now you have a cookie/brownie that is very potent. 'good luck.... |

Martha Stewarts Fudgy Brownies 1cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter (+ more for pan---can butter the pan w/ "regular" butter) 2/3 cup flour (+ more for pan) 1/2 t salt 12oz good quality semisweet chocolate. coarsely chopped 1 1/4 cups packed light brown sugar 4 lg eggs 1tbs pure vanilla extract 1. Preheat oven to 375. butter a 9x13 baking pan. dust w/ flour, and tap out excess. set aside 2. melt chocolate & butter in a heat proof bowl set over a pan of simmering water (or double boiler), stirring. let cool. 3. meanwhile, put sugar & eggs into a bowl and whisk on high speed w/ electric mixer until pale, about 3 min. reduce speed to low. beat in chocolate mixture and vanilla. add flour mixture and beat until just combined. 4. spread batter evenly into prepared pan. bake until top has cracked, center is just firm to the touch and a cake tester inserted into center comes out with moist crumbs. 25-30 minutes. let cool completely in pan on a wire rack.

Rep Power: 20570 | Re: cooking with premade cannabutter The only thing that concerns me about some of these recipes is the baking temperatures.... Some of the various volatile components of MMJ boil off at pretty cool temps.... see below. I always try to keep my baking temps below 325...just in case... I dont know if it makes a big difference or not.... but at a couple hundred bucks a batch I try and be as careful as I can since I dont have a scientific way to measure the results and be SURE.
