Your thoughts on"Watchmen"....
Ive been wanting to check this movie out for some time now. But i have been getting to many mixed reviews. Some hated it while others loved it. I know one guy who walked out cause he said it was that bad.

I want to see what you people think of it. Should i spend the 15 bucks or so its gonna cost to see it or not.

It wasnt as bad as I thought it was going to be. It was amazingly close to the comic book too, with the exception of the end which I will not give away for fear of spoiling it for others. It dragged in a lot of scenes, where I actually expected it to because the comic was basically full of dialog. If you are a fan of the comic, then it is worth seeing. If you are a hardcore fan of the comic, you will probably be disappointed. If you have never even laid eyes on the comic you will probably be blown away by the big giant blue swaying penis that follows you and sneeks up up on through out the movie.

Yeah, ive heard of that infamous blue penis lurking throughout the movie. Im comfortable with my manhood to be able to watch it, although it is probably a safe bet that ill just turn my head.

I definitely enjoyed the graphic novel, and I won't argue that they did an excellent job in transferring the movie over, but I felt like some of the roles were poorly cast. Ozymandias being the example.

I had a more or less "meh" reaction to this movie. I felt it was unnecessarily long, and really dragged-ass in a lot of parts. It started off strong, then wandered too and fro, losing direction. Not bad, per se, but certainly not great.

It all depends on how much of a nerd you are and how long of an attention span you have. If you're a nerd like me and read the comic book years and years before the movie was a thought in anyone's mind and a whole lot of character developement won't make your mind wander you'll love it.

Just keep in mind that it's challenging the stereotypes of the 2 dimensional hero/villian in pop culture and shows the good in bad guys and the bad in the good guys, and it's also more of a mystery story than an action movie.

15 bucks to see it? You can watch it online for free! I got a little home theatre I watch all my movies on and all of them for free! Free I tell you! FREEEEEEEEE! BWAHAHAHAHAHAH! It's worth a watch, and I'm a really picky critic.

If you're into a mash-up of gratuitous sex and violence, I think you'll enjoy this movie. A dash of moral ethics was thrown in towards the end, but in my opinion it didn't add any depth or intellect to what the previous 2 1/2 hours of the film established. To me, this film seems like something I'd have going on in the background while my attention is focused elsewhere.

Not bad, it's excellent on Bluray just because the picture is so amazing. Accurate for the most part to the comic, and a very descriptive movie to say the least (VERY descriptive in my opinion when it comes to the overall film/feel.) Similar to an alternate reality if you aren't familiar with the story. Enjoy!
