Rep Power: 67 | "Should I Smoke Dope" on BBC America Just watched the special on a British women who goes on a month long expierment with using cannabis in Amsterdam. I found most of it pretty bias and sterotypical, and some seemed a little acted out. Some people shouldn't smoke just like some people shouldn't drink or take pills. However the one thing that concerned me was when she went to this doctor who had been researching the affects of cannabis smoking on the lungs and he shows a 22 year old lung x rays that have holes in the lungs and have collapsed, this is very scary to me. I also found the part where they inject two compounds in her blood, one just THC the other a mixture of cannaboids and THC. Just wondering if any of you saw it? And what are your thought on it? I personally thought the majority of it was not very good and could have been better. |

It said she only had a .1 of a gram. Is that really even enough to affect anyone. I think she should be rewarded for being a good actor and then slapped hahaha |

This report had much of the same BS research...one 22 year old pot smoker that had holes in his lungs and the doctor attributes that solely to pot. Wouldn't there be more than one case if smoking pot actually caused that kind of damage? All in all this seems like a report that tries to discourage the use of MJ and is somewhat unfair and one-sided. In the driving test they report that driving under the influence of MJ is 2 times more dangerous than not being under the influence and alcohol is 6 times more dangerous. That could easily have been restated that being UI of MJ is 3 times less dangerous than being UI of alcohol. Interesting report but take it for the slightly slanted journalism that it is. | |
