It was not again, this is the first time he was convicted. The first trial ended with a hung jury 10 to 2 in favor of conviction. Thank goodness this jury was smarter than the first one. I hope he sees real jail time!!!

This news made my day !! Thank God they re-tried his ass & got the conviction.
Good to know that rich murdering assholes, that like to abuse women, ( are you listening O.J. ) lol- Eventually, get caught & go to prison, where they belong !!

I can only hope that this scumbag, along with O.J. & Scott Peterson, etc....all live a long & painful life behind bars, rotting away while they contemplate their horrid crimes.

I am sad for both of these parties. They each have some very memorable bit parts in American Film History.
I dig Phil Spector's appearance in 'Easy Riders' where he makes the cocaine deal with Peter Fonda that funds their cross country venture.
I also dug Lana Clarkson's appearance in 'Fast Time at Ridgemont High' where she is the huge breasted amazon goddess wife of the weird looking biology teacher. Lana's larger than life presence pulled off the scene fabulously.
I am glad to see him found responsible for her tragic death. I don't know that I would be happy to see him in prison, but I do know that I would have felt sad if he were to be found innocent.

Sad day for all parties. To have to re-remember a loss like that and to be prompted to solely focus on the negative aspects of someone who had a keen sense for creating rock-in'-mind-control hits! But at least now I will go check out Lana's jugs I guess in a few of these 80's flicks.

...but kharma, my friend--good kharma...it wouldn't hang with the energy generated by someone who took pleasure in someone else's pain.

Technically, there is a HUGE part of me that says that he should be hung until the life leaves his body. After all, he took a life. He sould pay with his own, shouldn't he MMI? He should swing.
I just would like to know if you would watch MMI?

I have heard many stories about Phil Spector, and next to Ike Turner, they were both insane in the recording studio and both musical geniuses. They didn't like what they heard out of the speakers they would shoot them.

I agree. The Death Penalty is too flawed and subjective. It might make you feel good that someone got justice, but when you execute an innocent you have taken back that justice. Let him rot in prison.

I don't know. I neevr was the kind of kid that watched another kid get disciplined. I knew kids that freakin got off on it. I just couldn't watch. In old westerns, I never understood the crowds at hangings. I wouldn't have taken part in a klan lynching of a black man either. You guys would probably smile....Just don't think we'd have anything to talk about around a peace pipe. I feel bad for you guys. Do me a favor, assuming your mothers are still with us, ask your mothers to explain the meaning of the word empathy. Peace.

Medpatient and Steve-O are both great guys, they are both friends. I disagree with them on the death penalty, but I understand and respect them as people. You went waaay to far with accusations toward them!!! Spector is a fucking loser who chased around women with guns, and finally killed one. For you to claim they would smile at a lynching is waaaay over the top! Please re-consider your words and edit your post!
