Rep Power: 83623 | CNBC today @ 6pm Just saw on my TV direct grid that an hour long program on CNBC is having a one hour talk show on Marijuana, Inc.; its a talks show discussing the politics and business end. Should be interesting. Haven't seen any promos and it took me by surprise so sorry about the late heads up!:sbounce: |

Rep Power: 1803461 | Re: CNBC today @ 6pm Ya it was on a few weeks ago. Pretty biased and one sided. The one thing I found interesting is how dependent some of these communities are on Marijuana cultivation. Without it, cities like Humboldt would'nt be on the map! |

I really enjoyed it until about half way in they cut to like an almost separate story of some 1970s dude that was like a kingpin. Really random. If i were to grade it I would say the first half was worth viewing, second half i would say |

Was empressed with the gentleman in his MMJ garden. Next showings will be at 3pm SUNDAY Feb. 22 & Wednesday Feb. 25th. Last edited by cazadores420; 02-19-2009 at 01:28 PM.. Reason: corrected day |

Rep Power: 70 | Re: CNBC today @ 6pm The show on CNBC was hosted by Trish Regan, and the one on NGEO was by CNN's Lisa Ling. Honestly both of them were slightly informative but for the most part garbage. They don't talk about how our society is infatuated with intoxication, such as with alcohol. Humans wanting to be intoxicated is probably as old as primates in general. Why did neither of these documentaries ask the question of why it is okay to get drunk from alcohol and risk overdosing, or killing some via drunk driving, and not get 'drunk' from something in nearly all circumstances a safer way to get intoxicted. Until this stupid double standard is addressed, marijuana prohibition will remain. Also they should have spoken to more patients who are having to use more harmful medications like opiates, and opioids, and many, many others, that are causing severe side effects. |
