Rep Power: 7376 | Capitalism, A Love Story Here's my own personal review on it... I'm curious as to what other people think... Pretty cool movie imo...it moves somewhat slow... and repeats ALOT. Moore does his usual 'leaving out other, important details' only to emphasize his own concept. I only wish, instead of bashing on capitalism, how about providing a feasable alternative... The only other alternative he mentions is socialism (imo, i'm for..to a degree) but he also bashes that. Just seems like a whiner who is just complaining. a possible solution woulda been nice. but overall, he really shows you some stuff which will blow your mind... How about major corps like walmart, at&t, citigroup and others actually taking out life insurance on people without their own knowing..pretty evil...Walmart (or it was citygroup) earned 1.5 million on one persons death..That family had zero knowledge of these companies taking out insurance plans on them... Has to be one of the most evil things ever.. Being worth something to them being dead. From a leaked citigroup memo, these people were called "dead peasants". Go see this movie. |

Rep Power: 52260 | Whatever misgivings or criticisms against Moore one might make, one thing is clear: He was on target with his assessment of GM in 'Roger and Me' ---look how GM is doing now. His 911 film---he said Bush's $$$ connections protected Bin Laden--still no Bin Laden today and why? He took on the pharms in 'Sicko' and that pretty much was again right on target. We're sicker than ever and no health care and fighting to replace with MMJ. Now he confirms once again what we all see going on with corporations. Maybe we should start listening to Moore, huh? Hell of a track record. And who would welcome his treatment of our fight for MMJ and cannabis legalization? I know I would be stoked to see Moore use his in your face style to take on those we have been fighting for 72 years. Could you imagine him in front of the DEA building in D.C. raising hell? Best, GB |
