Rep Power: 129898 | Re: CanabisCowboys ~ 8pm ~ I watched it last night...UGH. My most hated part, as far a SoCalConnected is concerned, was the bridge between the two segments. They had just finished with the mexican cartel grows on public land, and the throw to the next segment about local co-ops went this way: Voiceover: Up next... where is all that illegal pot headed? Roll tape of guy saying: They're in every neighborhood, on every corner. Voiceover: Our investigation continues. Really. That cartel pot goes to co-ops. You investigated that then, did you? Turns out they don't investigate that at all. They took that cue from Cooley. Such sloppy journalism. Also, what's with Jonathan Beavis, silent partner with Green Machine Dispensary on Melrose? You know, the guy with the "Stop Bitching Start a Revolution" tshirt? What a total bust that whole place is. What are you guys over the hill DOING over there? "We're here to make money." says Jonathan "Start a Revolution" Beavis to a reporter. "Sticking it to the man is not how it should have been." The reporter responds,"This was supposed to be a non-profit business. Were you aware of that? Under law?" The young revolutionary answers,"No. Of course. But how many non-profit businesses are out there that are non-profit - they started non-profit to make money from the government?" The reporter had no answer to his question. |
