Thanks gals...things did improve a little during the evening but I was more constantly medicated than usual. We'll see what happens tomorrow; I could have another day like this or I could be great. It's the CFS lottery!

If I can drive I am definitely getting some fresh meds though. Unfortunately I have to take it easy with edibles as there's so much variation in strengths and I never know if I'm going to get buzzed or destroyed! Also indica can hit me the wrong way some days and exacerbate my symptoms, but if I have a nice racy sativa around that can balance things out.

Yeah, maybe I go shopping tomorrow... :D

Hey DIGs, sorry to hear about your pain, i'm all too familiar with it myself. i feel sorry Wendy and i are not there to swoop in and help you. What about med milk? It works for me and i sleep soooo good.

that's why i make my own---i can control the strength and dosage (not to mention they are SO much cheaper). i always have a batch of brownies in the freezer. you may want to consider that when your feeling better. also, if you have a bad reaction to certain strains, you may want to consider making your own butter w/ a strain that really works for you. i've found edibles to be the most effective way to medicate for sleep (and longer lasting pain relief).

I feel your pain - literally and figuratively.
I have RA, which is a cousin to what you have-- there are like 100 varieties of these auto immmune disorders that can make life miserable.
Yesterday morning I woke up early and congratulated myself on having the foresight to take a four-day weekend around President's Day, and promptly sat right here in the legendary green Laz-E-boy and had a big flareup for most of the day and felt quite crappy and frustrated to be here in such pain when I should be out recreating. Pain like that, coming up out of nowhere, as it always does, really messes with the head.

I did, however, have MMJ and some wonderful Honey Bud and was able to medicate, nap, medicate and nap, and read away the day and it seems to have passed now.

Your flareups will pass too and you will feel somewhat better again, but, the lesson to be learned is to stockpile some MMJ for those tough times which never give much warning when they come to mess up your bod and mind.

Remember, the only thing worse than getting your ass kicked by life, is getting your ass kicked by life and not learning how to avoid getting your ass kicked by life in the future.

Thanks, guys, for your support. Usually I'd post to the CFS board I frequent but sometimes that place makes me feel worse, and they aren't MMJ friendly. (It's actually quite a decent place and I've learned a lot.)

I may really have to look into that. I think it would be the best way for me to handle edibles, which I really do like when possible. Unfortunately it won't be anytime soon, too much going on with work starting up again. I may get some medicated ice cream today though!

Isn't it frustrating? I can just about take it when I push myself and crash as a result because that was my choice. But when it comes out of absolutely nowhere it just leaves me feeling so helpless and annoyed.

Thank you for the supportive words. I've only been going through all these crazy health problems for a few years so I am still in that messed-up transitional stage. Some days I can deal better than others; sometimes I still see myself like this and get bummed about turning into this . I'm working on it.
