Rep Power: 289750 | Hey all... I just found out one of my closest friends... well actually my last girl friend has Fibromyalgia so I really want to see if I can help her. I already sent the links to her that LK has posted, thanks L... She is 50 and still very physically active and does a lot of physical labor on the ranch we lived at. She's tough (and very smart and pretty:001_smile:)....but I am on a mission to make things easier for her. So if anyone out there has any info on specific strains that helped you, or even Rx's that have worked for you please post it here or PM me, thanks. I haven't gone over the meds they have tried with her to give her some relief. I will get list and post them after I find out. For this woman I will do ANYTHING I can to help. Thanks! |

Well I recently heard a study that was being done on fibromiagia, it was basically looking into the possiblity of the disease being linked to an extreme depletion in the bodies natural cannabanoids such as ananamide. So cannabis and derivitives of cannabis are likely going to be highly effective treatment. I'd go with stronger sativas which work well for my mother who has MS. Tintures also seem to be effective. |

I am wondering though, although the Sativa's are higher in THC content and I sure am not a cannabanoids expert or even a novice, but it would seem to me a Sativa although higher, because it is a Sativa might make you more aware of what pain you had. I did see this link which I haven't read yet but sent: Cannabis Sativa (Marijuana) for Fibromyalgia http://www.scoopshare.com/Health/Fib..._Marijuana.cfm I also have read where Purps have helped. I realize that this will differ from person to person BUT there should be a common demomonator ..to the key of pain relief here. Going to read this article now...

Definitely show her hemp seeds, hemp protein powder, and hemp milk as a food supplement for immediate relief, it's an amazing food. It has worked wonders for me and everybody else I know who regularly consumes it. Granted, it doesn't cure the end stages of cancer, but it works wonders for initial interventions along with other low level and natural interventions like peroxide treatments, hint. Lemme know how it works if she tries it, and it's this simple: Blend your favorite organic fruit into 8-ounces of hemp milk and one serving of hemp protein powder twice a day. If she needs to gain weight, have her do this inconjunction with every meal, if she needs to lose weight, have her supplement one blend for a meal, two if she feels good after trying it a few days. The mix is high in omega 3 and 6, and it is the perfect sequence of proteins and is easily digestible, so she'll get a major bump in her immune system. There's trace minerals essential to brain function not found in any other source. Between the smoke, edibles, *and* hemp foods, she should feel much better, right away! Good luck!

Rep Power: 95669 | Re: Hey all... Well I'm not real familiar with fibromialgia, but I am with MS because of my mother and it seems that the pain managment can be similar sometimes, so I'll just post up her day to day intake of cannabis so you can see if it may work as a fobromialgia treatment. In the morning it is usually just a few puffs of a mild sativa more or less for stiffness of joints, a couple drops of a tincture throughout the late morning again of a sativa, at lunchtime usually she has a cookie before lunch and another edible after lucnh and this works untill evening for the most part, but she has the tincture just in case. Now in the evening since the days fatigue has set in she now moves into the indica, now onto the heavier side of the pain killing and better sleep, a couple tokes before dinner and a few more before bed and shes good. Now for the most part my mother takes no narcotics by taking marijuana, it can be effective in pain management, i know this wasnt fibromiagia, but ms is well kinda sorta similar? not really but kinda. in pain treatment atleast. |

Rep Power: 289750 | Re: Hey all... Thank you both for your input. I have forwarded these comments to her. I will talking with her on Tuesday and see what plan we can come up with... Like I have said, I don't usually take on these type of "missions" but for this woman it was a no brainer that I should do this. |

Rep Power: 289750 | Re: Hey all... Just spoke with her and here are the details: Diagnosed one year ago, but I think she has had it maybe as far back to when we were together...because back then her stomach really messed with her in the a.m. Meds: Dilantin --- She says it seems to help by interrupting the pain, I will ask her about the side effects. Adivan... and Restoril for sleep. I told her from what I read you are having a hard time sleeping. She said yes, they don't know why but her brain won't turn off. So that's the 411 now... She thanks you guys for helping me... and so do I.. |

I'd get her started on edibles and smoke to help her de-tox and get rest, ASAP. I'm not familiar with Dilantin, but from what I'm reading...no, bad. And, the triple combo is real bad on her system. Soon, she'll literally drift off into a zombie like state and suffer various organ failures or cancers and other non-disclosed deadly side-effects if she don't stop taking those toxins! She has nothing to lose by trying mmj and hemp food supplements but she has everything to gain, the science and results are pretty clear about mmj, it works where those specific medications fail.
