I did...but I can't be sad at the outcome, as I was kinda happy they were going back to WIN it at Yankee stadium, as I knew they would.

BTW You are free to comment on my teams I support: Dodgers, Rams, Lakers, Kings, and UCLA. (I went to UCLA BB game last night, we freaking suck this year and will be lucky to get ten wins!)

The Yankees are more a monument to capitolism than baseball, never the less I'm a fan of both and thus by defacto a Yankees fan. Sadly though somehow rooting for them feels like rooting for Haliburton.

The Yankees are the evil empire of baseball, hopefully it will be another 10 years or more till they win their 28th! But they were the best this year, and as a baseball fan they were entertaining to watch none the less, so congrats on #27! They beat the phils whom I dislike even more than them damn Yanks! My optimism for a freeway series in 2010 is growing everyday, so go Dodgers and go Angels, can't wait till next April!

Seeing all the haters in this thread is what makes this Championship that much sweeter!

The Yankees have money and success. And those two things always bring out the inner bitterness and jealousy in people. Every sports fan right now wishes they had an owner like George Steinbrenner that was dedicated to winning at any cost. Its great to be a Yankees fan. And seeing these haters honestly makes it that much sweeter. Yankees did nothing wrong, they play by all the rules. If people want to hate them for being more successful than every other team, than ok. The more they hate us, the greater it makes us.

He's always in front of the camera?? Well that's funny, he's been out of the limelight for the last 3-4 years due to poor health. His sons have taken over.

Hey they build a billion dollar stadium, and the ticket prices are going to be priced accordingly. I have stated I love the old Yankee stadium, and hate this new one. Greed?? He's spent over 1.5 billion in payroll the last 9 years with nothing to show for it, he can be like 95% of owners and keep most of the revenue in his pocket, but he chooses to spend it on players.

I was a fan back as a wee one in the 80's when they were one of the worst teams and never made it to the playoffs, so I'm enjoying this, and really the last 15 years. Get your facts right pal.
