I know we have more than just a few Wter's that physically cannot skate or longboard. I was wondering how many skaters are on here though? skate boards, pocket boards or longboards?

i've got 2 Arbor longboards. I've got the 44.25" Waterman (super flexable, super nice for pretty much everything) and the 43" Fleetwood. The Fleetwood is super rigid, a real nice sturdy tuck and lock style of riding. I've also got a nice 48" board that was homemade probably 20 or 30 years ago. Only got one set of trucks, wheels and bearings for the time. I'll get more once i start making my own boards.

anybody else? what you ride?

just saw a video of a kid with no legs busting and i mean just killing it so whether it's skating or surfing, parylized or no legs at all, just something about it go out and have fun

Always Keep A Board in my trunk...sk8er 4 Life...currently dont really like my main board its a val surf deck 7.75 to heavy not enough pop more like no pop but whatever...
and then gotta stay true with the classice vision 80s mark gonzlez board with royal trucks and fat like i think 66 powell bones...

I skate when I have even an extra 1/2 hour to a couple.Bro I can only skate max 2 hours and I skated the new fontana park with the two pools and cradle all day pretty much yesterday . Have skated off and on since 1976 -mainly pools but with so many good skateparks I usally skate Chino Ayala park in the dairy lands. Do alot of skate photography in the inland empire lots of skate road trips - I gotta skate trips to different skate parks throughout the US...

hell yeah. i wish i could skate those short boards. i dont know if its the balance or what, but i can only bomb hills. need to find some better hills out here.. i miss going like 40 mph down a hill

lol i hear u on that. i couldnt ollie to save my life but nothing beats bombing a big ass hill and feeling the wind flying pass u while ur hauling ass to the bottom :D

gnar 2.5 ft board? thats a short longboard. i cant bomb boards shorter than 40 inches, my wheelbase really has to be at least 32... maybe not even that short.

for all the fellow bombers, anybody know of some sick hills in the Venice/Marina Del Rey/Santa Monica area? PM me, i dont want those sick hills getting blown up...

34 in sector 9 for cruising. I also used to trick board so i have a mass of skate decks. I've cut a few down and added risers and 70mm soft wheels to them, I like them for cruising around campus.

its pretty gnar gnar binks. lmaoo i miss my board. someone jacked it from me :[ i was pretty pissed about it, it was expensiveeee. im thinking about getting the new sector 9 double truck short board. the double truck is embedded into the board so youre not so high. compared to the other. check the link! i was thinking about the off the wall 2. what do you guys think?

what link you talking about?

9's are sick and all, but once i walked into the arbor shop, 9's look a little cheap now. theres arbor boards for pretty much all riding styles. the 2 exceptions i've noticed is they dont have drop downs or drop throughs.

side note, arbor is owned by 9. sector 9 is owned by billabong....

Carlos in in his 40's I think. Im 51 and my husband is 44...lots of us old folks skating to keep in shape in So Cal....I had a liver transplant 85% chance to live 5 years...its been 15 years and I have skateboarding to thank for it....wear your pads/helmets and keep it within your abilities..good fun and exercise at any level.

early_mornin- bombing hills is a lot like snowboarding, just its a little harder to slide through your carves (unless you got a flowboard). i'm working right now on putting together a longboard company. so much better skating your own board than something you buy.

oh yeah, the flowboard? i've seen that a bunch, played around on it a couple of times in the skate shops. those sketch me out a bit...

it really just frightens me having my board go sideways on asphalt... or concrete.... or really anything besides nice soft colorado powder

nonono you're thinking of a Freebord, with the caster wheels in the center

i feel the same way about sliding on asphalt. one thing thats comfy on snow... not so much on the street

14 wheels on an arced truck. They all face the same way

I haven't played with it much yet.
but you don't slide, you carve.

I'm much more of a snowboarder than a skater
