Rep Power: 7447 | MotoGP returns to the U.S. at Indy! On August 30th MotoGP arrives in Indianapolis, Indiana at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway to compete in round 12 of 2009 championship sponsored by Red Bull. Championship leader and last years winner of the Indy GP Valentino Rossi looks to extend his lead over his FIAT Yamaha team-mate Jorge Lorenzo and Repsol Honda's Dani Pedrosa. Marlboro Ducati's #1 rider Casey Stoner is out due to illness for the next 2 races. The Americans, Marlboro Ducati's Nicky Hayden(6th last race) and Tech 3 Colin Edwards(7th last race) look to have improvements coming into The Red Bull Indy GP. I was also wondering if anyone on WT is interested in motorcycle racing. If not then I would say your missing out on one of the most beautiful examples of road racing this world has to offer and the excitement is incredible. Here's some of last year Indy but it got rained out in the middle of the race. |

Rep Power: 480114 | Re: MotoGP returns to the U.S. at Indy! I agree. GP motorcycle racing has much more passing than auto racing, although I also love formula one auto. When you really think about it & break it all down, you really come to realize how many different aspects that must be coordinated, practiced and perfected to win a race. That is if bad luck doesn't come into play, which is also a big factor. I think racing is almost something that almost you have to actually be involved in & experience for yourself, in one form or another, to get the full appreciation out of it. Its a very hard thing to accomplish. I think thats why many racers (& his/her crew) break out in tears when they get a win. When you finally get all the calculations & aspects of racing to fall together & work out. When you escape all bad luck & make the least amount of mistakes. I think Thats what makes it so emotional & exciting for some. I'll record it If I cant sit & watch at the time it airs. |
