Rep Power: 782 | Re: dodger baseball I love the trade cuz we definetley need an Ace P to carry the load once the playoffs start 7 game series, he could possibly pitch 3 games for the Dodgers and that would be HUGE But, I guarantee you, somebody is going to get hurt in the outfield and Juan is going to be a huge lift to bring in off the bench. He also brings speed to the team which I like alot... He's always causing havoc once he's on the bases..... His only real deficiency would be a weak arm ...... |

Rep Power: 7732 | Re: dodger baseball Kershaw would be good if he had an older mentor. He's still young and still learning about himself as a pitcher. And I actually think Pierre is a great addition to the team as he did pick up when when Manny left. I'd say trade Martin and Furcal. Martin swings as hard as he can everytime he's at bat which makes him look like a fool when he strikes out. He needs to learn that he's a short guy. He needs to hit more base hits and less trying to swing towards the bleachers. Furcal has been making waaaay too many mistakes on the field and has been not so good at bat. But we do need Hallady really bad. |

Rep Power: 3879 | Re: dodger baseball we have to get rid of Pierre And a good pitching prospect for Roy Halladay who is 142-69 in his MLB career. A cy young award pitcher who has only lost douvle digit games only once! Cant trade furcal dood is a beast! With Manny in our lineup our hitting is their but we need a veteran ACE so when we get to the playoffs he can shut the opposing team DOWN! |

Rep Power: 11507 | Re: dodger baseball As this trade bait, Halladay is going to be too expensive and not here past one year, not a good idea. Keep JP as Manny isn't getting any younger. The farm system has a few guys but without a new deal signed to keep Halladay long term its foolish. |

Damn, I goofed on that one! I have always confused Maddux and Jason Schmidt for each other. Why does that happen? You see one person's name and think of someone else. Maddux officially retired last winter. Anyway...I'm jazzed about having seats for Manny night Wednesday.

Rep Power: 1175 | Re: dodger baseball I hope they get this under .500 mentality out of their systems real soon. I think I heard Vin Scully say they were like 18-20 since they all-star break. Manny needs to find his groove again (which I think he will before the post season, I'm not worried) Kuroda needs to get well soon. That was a nasty shot he took, hopefully he isnt gone for extended lengths. My only concern is the bully. I have faith in Ox, I know he has blown a couple saves as of late, but I would still give him the ball in the 9th inning all day long. The middle relievers seem to be a week spot. |

As a Dodgers fan, I like this deal. Anytime you can add a 20+ home run hitter to your line up with minimal financial responsibility, I dont see that hurting the team in any way. Not to mention the veteran leadership and post season experience that comes along with him.

Rep Power: 1390 | Re: dodger baseball Yeah, hopefully he can be some what productive in the post season. He does have the "home run power" but is only hitting 250. I think I would rather go with Juan. However I do agree with you, he is not hurting the team in any way. |
