Great job, you guys obviously wanted it more, and Kobe finally gets his ring on HIS team. Lamar and Trevor are free agents now, what are we gonna do? I guess we'll worry about that later. For now, let's enjoy the parade.

Artest plays power forward. He is a shitty shooter, but good rebounder. Are you going to sit down Gasol? Bynum? Lamar? The Lakers do NOT need another "star" player. All our guards, including Sasha, shoot well. We don't need no phony shooters like Glenn Rice!

LOL OK I get it! If you would sit Bynum, a 21yo with an unlimited upside, for some thug in his thirties, you and I would never agree on anything. Bynum is better than Dwight Howard, even with his injured knee not 100%. And besides, Gasol and Odom both are more natural Power Forwards than centers. Before he got hurt, Bynum was dominating. Artest is an asshole. He would not fit on the Lakers.

Bynum will be back! He has great, natural post moves on offense. I think the Lakers have plenty of spot-up three shooters. If you ask me what we truly need I will tell you: We need pick and roll defenders. The Lakers get burned by tandems like Billips and Anthony. Luckily for us, Hedo is no Anthony!

And people say the same thing about Kobe that they do about Artest. I tend to just pay attention to the play.

but i dont agree with other people. Kobe is not in danger of going into the stands and fighting with fans, like Artest is capable of every nite... i mean, Artest is still that type of person. you never know how the evening will end with this dude on your team. He's got some skillz, i gotta say that. good shooter/defender, but still, anyone but him. How many times was he ejected in the playoffs ? there's just no comparison of these guys' attitudes, imo.

Bynum will def be back because of his contract extention and he WAS fulfilling his potential before he got hurt. Turkoglu will not be an option because of his price tag in free angency. Ariza will double his 3.5 mil salary wherever he goes. Odom is gonna have to take a pay cut from 14 mil to remain, tho.

First, congrats to the whole Laker organization for giving us a thrilling victory to celebrate and feel good about.

Having said that, can somebody let Jerry know for me, ya gotta hang onto Lamar. It was just just magical how Andrew could give it his all for the first half of the first period, get his two fouls, then have Lamar come in for him and ignite the rebounding and shooting. And repeat in the 2nd quarter, 3rd quarter. Lamar is a great target for Kobe and Pau to hit under the basket. And Trevor, wow, they really need to keep hold of him. Let Jerry know Jeffster said so, OK?

And how about the talk that Phil Jackson might not be back? Some talk about him saying he might want to retire now? What a way to go out, all time winning NBA Championship coach!

he said it was contingent on his health... he looks pretty healthy to me after his hip replacement !

meh. Bruin fans lmao. I actually predicted this weeks before it was posted , reported anywhere including espn and posted it here on wt:) but I must come clean. I cheated. worked on laker telecasts for years and still my buds are pre-game producers. Inside info. Gotta win bets somehow:)~~~~

should kept arriza but it was a money thing no matter what arrizas agent claims.

I don't get it. But Phil is on board, and he knows more than I do. We did indeed get a financial bargain, a fierce rebounder/defender who is 29 for 3 years for 18mil. But Ariza has a seemingly unlimited upside, and is a lock for first-team all NBA Defense before long. Ariza was a 40% free throw shooter at UCLA during his one season, and is now into the seventies as a pro. Both players have great work ethic. Now they sure as shit better sign Lamar!!! They charge UNHOLY money for Laker tickets, so I do NOT want to hear Buss or Kupchak cry poverty!! There might be a fan revolt if they let Lamar go!
