So I did see a PAC 10 thread on here, but I wanted to dedicate a thread to more than just the PAC 10. Go ahead and discuss favorite college football teams, upcoming games, bowl games, draft picks, etc.

My favorite team is the Notre Dame Fightin' Irish.

Despite Charlie Weiss poor decision making, Notre Dame is eligible for the Sheraton Hawaii Bowl against Hawaii. I do believe Notre Dame can pull off a win, but they have to remain consistent all four quarters and not give up toward the end of the game(case in point, Syracuse and Navy).

My prediction is...

ND - 17
Hawaii - 14

Another notable upcoming bowl game is between Brigham Young and Arizona. This is Arizona's first bowl appearance since 1998 so they'll definitely bring a lot of heart since they have a lot riding on this bowl game. However, their defense could fold against Unga running the ball.

My prediction is...

BYU - 35
Arizona - 17

I am big Notre Dame fan also!!! I also agree you charlie weiss poor decisions. He got lucky when he took over after Ty Wlingham's firing. because Wlingham could
recurit and weiss can't. He's too cocky and looked what is has done to the program. He got lucky that Jimmy Clausen had all ready commit to notre dame. This not a bashing but i would like to see this program back on top and to beat our heated rival USC!!! Also i think there going to beat Hawaii, final score Notre Dame 24 to Hawaii 17

Yeah I agree with you. They used to be a powerhouse football program and then Charlie Weiss took over. Even when he first started at least they were consistent. That has seemed to fade away every season. I think we can beat USC but it'd have to be under a different coach. The Irish put up a fight in the first quarter, but lost their stride along the way. I wanted to go to the game when they came to the Coliseum but I knew it wouldn't be worth it. lol

ND beating USC ? don't hold your breath.
last 2 years combined score 76-3 ... and USC has won 7 years in a row ! (im sure i don't have to remind you.)
it's gonna be awhile before USC loses to ND again. :ssmile: as long as USC has Pete Carroll and ND has Charlie Weiss.
this year, the Irish put up their best fight during pre-game warm ups, and Charlie Weiss only won during his first year because of Tyrone Willinghams recruits. now that Charlie is recruiting, look at the results.
i say give him another 10 yr contract :slaugh: ! at least i can stand him better than Lou Holtz. ( im glad USC 'retired' old Lou. sent him out to pasture with a loss.)
i don't feel sorry for ND. they will rise to the top again some day, i just hope not anytime soon ~

good luck, ND, in your bowl game vs. Hawaii... we'll see if ND can break a 10 game losing streak in bowl games ~

No way ND would beat SC...not in a lifetime...theyre gonna hev a hard time with Penn state though!

Too bad for OU, and it looks like its gonna be Florida-Texas in the National Championship game, what with their weak schedules
