Does anyone know any good strains or alternative medecines that might help with digestive problems. my symptoms are naseau, stomach and abdominal cramps and pain, weight loss, lack of appetite, and an oddjob of other things. ive heard things about cocunut, acai berry, and papaya.. anyone got info on these? anything you guys can suggest would be great.

Re: stomach pains

have you seen a doctor and been diagnosed? If not, you do need to go, it could be serious or IBS/GERD/chrons/cyst/e things will help you modify your lifestyle to stop having the nausea and the other symptoms you described. Without to much detail you almost sound like you have what I do. (GERD/IBS, although it could be anything) Try looking at your life style, stress? Do you eat healthy? Sleep enough? etc. These things can play a huge roll in how you feel.

haha sorry my post is not more elaborate. but after it sat idle for a little bit i tried to delete it. but couldnt. so just made it straight to the point. i have been under the "care" of G.I. specialist for 4 months now and they still do not know what it is. i just had an endoscopy and ultrasound like 10 days ago that i am waiting for results from. they have ruled out all the basic G.I conditions, and also the pain is kind of widespread throughout my body and i get some muscle cramps, so it might not even be a G.I. condition (but thats where there checking first since the majority of the symptoms involve my upper or lower abdomin/stomach). i have recently cut out Gluten and im gonna stick to that for a month or so too see if i get any better. the pain can be gnarly,. but i have a past history with opiates and i refuse to take any pain killers for it.

i am a connaisseur of cannabis among other things and i take much pride in my medicine. but because i am Some-what new to the craze of So-cal collectives and there 1 million strains for this and that i havnt tried all the stuff for pain/nasuea and suggestions would be great! as well as anyone who has knowledge about alternative natural medicines that might help feel free to speak up!

right now i am loving this blackberry kush from NNCC for the pain side of it. best thing i have had in some time for pain. afghanicas work great for my pain but i hate being sleepy during the day. purple erkle and some indicas are great for the nasuea and keeping me awake while making me eat but doesnt do shit for pain. its a catch 22.

im trying to find some black domina cause i imagine it would work wonders for my pain (last time i had it i used it for insomnia and it was great, i remember it being very narcotic as typical with afghanicas) so if anyone knows where a prime example of this flower can be found for a reasonable price let me know

Re: stomach pains

I have a GI recipe. I use an strong indica (purples well grown, my 1st choice) for my first bowl, this helps stop the cramping and gut pain. Then I switch to a hybrid or sativa so I don't become too sedated. It's that first bowl that is my key.

Since you mentioned "whole body" type symptoms along with GI ailments, stress is likely a major factor. I was diagnosed with IBS till they found the real problem. Lymphoma.

My best self help tool is relaxation CD's and particularly one by Mahoney who is a hypno therapist from the UK who specializes in helping GI patients. things are much better since I stated using the tapes daily. I rarely have the whole body IBS "fibro-like" pain anymore.

Best to you,
EJ

Re: stomach pains

Well let me say this before continuing. I am in no way a doctor, this is just stuff I have experienced myself. I know that every one is different and should try things gradually and cautiously while finding the right medication path for themselves.

So I don't know anything about coconut, or papaya but I know that if you drink a lot of the acai berry juice it can make it harder to have a bowel movement.:001_unsure: So take this like you would a wheat grass shot. Maybe one shot a day or two smoothies a week. Anything is excess is not good.

As far as strains go I would say you might prefer one over the other just on a personal preference. I don't think weather it is an indica or sativa is the problem. I happen to like both. If i am looking to relax and calm down because my stomach is in a knot and my heart beat and heart rate are going rather fast, then I usually lean towards an indica. If I am looking to relax but need to get things done. I usually go for a sativa because it doesn't put me down to rest. It gives me a little umph for the most part.

Now on a personal note. I just found out that I LOVE hash:001_wub:. I love a :001_tt1:Sativa Hash. It gives a quick punch sorta and then a minute later. I have no pains in my stomach and I am ready to continue the day. I try not to do too much of it though only because it could raise your tolerance. But a nice bowl in the morning should get you going. You will want to have a meal, which happens to be the best meal of the day. You will be ready to go and your stomach pains will be at ease. Well that is how it is for me.

If you have any other questions I can ask the rest of the crew what they think.

Hope all works out well for you.

Re: stomach pains

A friend of mine who was dealing with nausea, stomach and abdominal cramps and pain, weight loss, lack of appetite, etc. from Chemo used Romulan.

It allowed her to be able to eat and gave her a appetite with no nausea. Hope you find something to work.

and nausea went away. I was able to eat fruit and
jello with no problem.

Re: stomach pains

Most heavy indicas like Bubba GDP or LA Con should help.

Great advice with the sativa hash in the morning! i have a chunk of lambsbread fullmelt that i was saving form a lil while ago. and i decided to use some of it to try out that idea this morning, and wow this works suprisongly well. unfortunatly this would make my tolerence skyrocket if i did it every morning. but for mornings where i need to get up, get medicated, and go in a timely mannor this will be great..

Re: stomach pains

damn im so sry man, it looks like we are in kind of the same situation. I have been seen gastroenterologists and getting tests and stuff done for about the last 10 months. I also tried cutting gluten from my diet until the celiax disease results came back negative. Its been like running around in a circle and the doctors offices dont know how to use a fax machine to fax medical records to the doctors they recommend you to. Make sure to get copies of all your records. I just had a hydoscan done this morning which tests the gall bladder and I had a doctors appoinment with a UCI doctor this afternoon. I got reccomended to another doctor but he ordered like 5 more tests He also suggested that it could be CYCLIC VOMITING SYNDROME. This I found on the internet can be treated like a migraine headache and it should help. In fact putting a damp cloth on my forehead and going into a room with no light whatsoever has helped me in the past. Good luck figuring out whats wrong.
