Rep Power: 4914 | Leaky Gut Anyone know what are some good strains for leaky gut? I've recently found I have developed leaky gut (which had been brough on by celiac disease) which means alot of basic foods cannot be digested, I guess I'm allergic to 53 common foods (vegetables/fruits/preservatives included), I'm a 6-4 20 year old who weights 148 lbs, and I've lost 8 lbs within the last week. Ya sorry for the explaination, this shit has really been getting to me, any support is greatly appreciated, I know weedtrackers look out for each other. Off the top of my head, I can only think to say that MMJ might help reduce any pain discomfort you are having from it, and also the right strain for you might help stimulate your appetite. Then with the latter effect, you would need to have on hand high calorie foods that you can digest OK and enjoy them, with the intent to put back on some weight. Two foods that would qualify in this category are ice cream and peanut butter. Can you handle those OK? |

Rep Power: 80580 | Re: Leaky Gut Well, a lot of folks say Indicas for pain, but for me, a good Sativa Dom Hybrid gives me pain relief along with the Sativa high that helps me so much with depression, and to some degree, anxiety. I'm medicated with Headband today, and it's nice. A bit on the heavy side, with excellent analgesia, but definitely cerebral as well in a delightful way. Some of my other favs include Super Silver Haze, Sour Diesel, Trainwreck... I could go on and on. :-) Last edited by Jeffster; 07-21-2009 at 02:22 PM.. Reason: Added clarity |

| Re: Leaky Gut Eat hemp seeds. Drink hemp milk. Hemp has no known allergens and it's extremely nutritious for both body and mind. And yes, Head Band is a wonderful strain. I love it too. |

Basically, your gut will never heal unless it's able to form a healthy mucus barrier that keeps toxins in your intestines and out of your bloodstream. It's important to avoid at all cost any gluten or you will re injure your gut mucosa barrier. Avoid as much sugar and milk. Why milk? Dairy lactose and milk casein is almost undigestable to a person with damaged mucosa and will give you pain. Jarrow Streptomyces boulardii and the one that the W.H.O. likesbecause it's cheap and effective. |
