Gastrointestinal MMJ Support Group. This is a support group for all GI problems such as Crohn's, IBD/IBS, Ulcerative Colitis, or any other Auto Immune disease.
We gather roughly every month. Come to discuss living with your disease, ways you treat it, new breakthrough's in medicine, or whatever. We have no itinerary or anything like that, just an open discussion.

This group was started by patients and WCC is kind enough to lend us a space for our scheduled meetings. WCC has a very safe atmosphere, compassionately priced meds. They provide drinks and snacks and some good insight. We can't thank WCC enough for lending us the space and volunteering time to each meeting. Without them these meetings would not be possible.

I know they do preverify, please remember to do this. Your doctor may not be open at 8 on a weekend.

A lot, and I do mean A LOT of information is exchanged here about holistic and herbal remedies, and many other things. I recommend you bring a pencil and a paper, if you forget I'm sure WCC can handle you.

seriously though, post in here. I made this thread so that WCC wouldnt have to upkeep the first post in our Support Group's thread. Some people just hate reading though pages of threads.

Sure Capt., we welcome anyone with all types of digestive disorders to come. At the last meeting we had people with Crohn's, IBS, UC and GERD.

My Dad had Diverticulitis earlier this winter. He is all better now and the whole event scared him into eating healthy. which is a great thing. Hope all goes well, we know the pain man trust me.

Thank you STS for taking the lead on the support group!

WCC wants to remind new patients that have not been to our Co-op to call and preverify. New patients MUST also bring their Original Dr's Recommendation and a Valid CA ID. Without either of the two, we will have to turn you away and we would hate to have to do that. Space is limited to 12-15 because seating is limited. Thanks for your attention to this matter and hope to see you all here.

the meeting was a super success. sundays are kinda crappy because a lot of us gotta work on mondays im sure, but i bet we can work something out.
I have to be in on mondays pretty early and the drive from LA back to long beach is a long one.

When is the next support group for Gastrointestinal? Are there going to other SGs for different things? I suggest one for depression, anxiety, insomnia or something similar. I have not heard yet of a SG for these issues...

But it would nice!

Hey Big K R, it seems that a lot of Crohn's patients agree that GDP is a really good overall strain for many different symptoms. Hope this helps!
