Rep Power: 179 | Does anyone have this problem? I seem to just wake up and have to use the bathroom very frequently (ONLY in the mornings). I have been seen for everything, got tons of tests done, the best they can say is IBS (plus maybe just a weak stomach). Everything gives me stomach aches unless it is completely bland. I've found MMJ to help a bit, but seeing as my problem is in the morning mostly (maybe a little early afternoon), I usually just take the pain, wait til I get home, medicate and eat. I guess one issue is I can't lose my cognitive abilities even if it relieves the pain, so the morning medicating isn't really an option unless I don't have much to care for. |

Rep Power: 498300 | Re: Does anyone have this problem? So sorry! I know how you feel with this condition. Sometimes stress will agravate the IBS. So, if ypu are stressed or haqe anxiety, maybe anti-anxiety meds will help. Diet is an issue too, even though I hate limiting things I like, I know after years of experience, some food will make this problem flare up! Milk and red meat are just a couple I believe contributes to this. Some people don't realize the pain that accompanies this. I have horrible pain before, during & after going to the restroom. So, bad sometimes, I just have to lay down & try to sleep. Hope you can find something that gives you comfort during the day. I take alot of Imodium &PepcidAC to help. Thisw IBS is a real pain in the @$$!! LOL! If we can't laugh at it, who can! |

Rep Power: 179 | Re: Does anyone have this problem? True true, it really is tough to deal with. If you have any sort of a schedule, laying around in the mornings, or medicating is not an option. Immodium and all the other ones didn't help :( Anti-Anxiety meds help a bit, but I am trying to get off them since I've been on benzos for 5 years and my tolerance is pretty high. |

good post Mornings were complete hell for me. I would have to wake up 3+ hours before normal wake up time just for my body to do its morning freak out... but im sayin nausea, and vomiting was associated. stop eating fast food stop eating late before bed (like 4 hours!) only drink water stay away from dairy at night eat dinner earlier at least TRY it for a few days and see how you do Im prescribed bentyl and aciphex bentyl helps with pain, and aciphex controls acid see what your doc can do everyone is different and when your sayin IBS one thing might help another and sicken the other, so do in smaller proportions... Rep Power: 542 | Re: Does anyone have this problem? I have recently read a report that peppermint helps IBS as well as any other remedy. So, I started taking a couple of peppermint mints every day and it seems to help, especially with bloating & cramps. I know there are peppermint pills on the market, so may try some of those too. |

One thing that is helpful is Immodium at least for the bathroom, the pain is much harder to deal with. However, the Immodium at least made it so that I could check in on time and only get up an hour or 2 earlier to let my stomach do it's thing, and then I would be stuffed up until the night time. Because I don't have a lot of money, I bet the food I eat isn't great for my stomach, but I stay away from dairy to begin with. However, like I said I have to check in places, so usually I will eat much later due to the fact that I usually have to medicate before I'm hungry, or I just don't get an appetite until the nighttime if I do not medicate (and I don't during the day 99% of the time).

Rep Power: 21 | Re: Does anyone have this problem? I would say its far from uncommon for me to have discomfort/urgency to go to the bathroom after waking up, before I am out of bed though. Also to have to make repeat trips over the next 3 hours or so. Have you tried medicating just a little in the morning? I seem to function better than most medicated, but I've also found that it doesn't take much sometimes to turn my stomach around. Lack of sleep I think can also be an issue. This stuffs a bummer for sure, I feel your pain. |

Rep Power: 42799 | Stress and bacteria and bad food will do it to most anybody, including me. I've read that it's based in a bacteria that's in some food, not everybody eats it. But those that do, oh boy. Whenever I have stress and my stomach acts real nasty, I use ginger capsules. Also, after taking dextroamphetamine for intense fatigue (sleep disorders), I noticed my stomach handles stress better and then I read an article that dextroamphetamine is known to calm a nasty stomach, including IBS patients. Also, hemp protein powder and hemp milk really makes your stomach healthy, after a brief and sometimes painful cleanse, there's a lot of really good fiber in most hemp protein powders. Also, eat only foods high in enzymes (raw food) to see if that helps. Some people live on raw food and look great and have cured many ailments. Cold milled hemp seed is raw food loaded with enzymes. Look into the raw food high enzymes diet, another secret kept from America! Supposedly, the more enzymes your body needs to produce to digest food, the quicker you die. Most foods in America are cooked and processed and have no enzymes. Theoretically, if you ate nothing but a healthy diet of raw food containing enzymes and you avoid toxins, you can live a long time. Guess what!!! Yogurt is loaded with added enzymes (active cultures)!!! This would explain why you feel good after eating yogurt! You just made my point!!! You can get the ginger caps at Whole Foods Market and the hemp milk and hemp protein can be gotten at Lassen's or on the web at places like Amazon, they got it!

Rep Power: 47 | Re: Does anyone have this problem? stress is a major factor in this. also you may want to get tested to see if you are lactose intolerant. things like milk would go right through you if you were, but definitly control the stress... it has a lot to do with the stomachaches you are experencing... maybe some light vegan edibles??? |
