Any one else with a Colostomy?

The only times that colostomies are mention on this site are in jokes. I have to wonder, am I the only one?

I’m 23, living in SD, I woke up one morning with a %*@#ed up stomach ache, my Dad and GF had kidney stones before and told me that's probably what I had, so I waited it out, in the WORST pain ever. I don’t have insurance so I didn’t want to go, but at 36 hours, I gave up and went to the hospital.

Apparently I had/have diverticulitus, and my colon ripped inside of me emptying into my abdomen. Youngest in SD in 50 years. This was during the SD wild fires and I was the first ER surgery of the day. The docs weren’t sure how I made it to 48 hours with out going into septic shock.

I spent 10 days in the hospital, first 3 in ICU. I was left with a colostomy on my tummy and enough stress to shut me down. Don’t forget $120,000 in debt. No lie, that’s the final number. $105,000 just for the MAJORLY discounted hospital stay.

MMJ has kept me going, waiting for my reverse surgery that is. I am not a strong enough person to deal with this for the rest of my life, luckily it can be reversed. I've gone a couple days with out mmj since, ended up red handed with holy dry wall, still stressed out and my tummy was still killing me.

Please, any one who is also dealing with this, or something like this, share with me/us. PM me at least.

NONE of the good San Diego co-ops are on this site, more and more 18-20 year old punks ARE on this site, the rules are poorly enforced and when they are, they are enforced with bias.
Gotta love WT

Cool Re: Any one else with a Colostomy?

The reason you did not go into septic shock is because your body was saturated in THC. I suffered a concussion while saturated in THC. Full-on concussion -- no headacke, no puking. Had my body not been saturated with THC, I'd have gone into shock and then a coma and then I'd have awoken with a huge headache (I collapsed from sleep deprivation and was knocked out cold by a hard, tile floor).

Don't forget to take your meds.

Phucking THC is a wonder drug.

I think it's best for our movement to refrain from declaring MMJ and THC as wonder drugs. They are not. They provide scores of us with an alternative to traditional medicine that is working wonders for alot of us, but they are not wonder drugs that cure all.

LOL, waterboard clemmens?!

Thank you all for your support. I appreciate it. Your responses here and in pms has inspired me to look into some of your illnesses like chons and soo forth. Messed up stuff, its intense how delicate and sophisticated our bodies, from the nerves down to the plumbing. Turns out soldering copper pipes is nothing like sewing up my colon. =0)

Thanx guys
