The courts here don't consider a rec valid unless someone is terminally ill or dying. I have friends who have gotten laughed at by judges and police when showing their card. Many have had posession tickets that they had to pay for/attend classes even though they are patients. I know someone who got caught with less than 8 ounces of bud and got sentenced to 3 months in jail for sales, and they were a patient! but the DA and the court didn't recognize his rec. My question is, shouldn't someone sue the county for not upholding state law? A judge is not a doctor, how can they determine who 'really' deserves medical mj. I don't think we will ever have dispensaries here, I've given up on that idea. But it would be nice if the local authorities here focus on violent crime and methamphetamine rather than fuckin weed. I hate San Jose! Full of gangbangers, shootings, car thiefs and tweakers and these motherfuckers are trippin on marijuana! Why can't we be like Berkeley or SF/Oakland and make marijuana the lowest priority that's what it should be!! I think I'm goin to drive to Hayward to burn a fat blunt so I don't get arrested by these bitch ass Santa Clara sheriiffs who got nothing better to do!!

I know what you mean, I lived in San Joes for 30+ years.I live 200+ miles away from there and I dont ever want to see San Jose again.Cops are really f--ked they like to hastle people(don't want nothing to do with them).Oh and they like to make things up as they go,cost me a hard year in jail.
