Rep Power: 10 | I was driving home 1 night after I stopped at a club. I was tired so I must of been swerving on the road but I was stopped for drunk driving. I drank nothing with alcohol. As far as I can remember, I didn't even drink back then. He found my medicine. It was still in the capsule, still in the brown bag, in the glove compartment. Wasn't locked however. Always lock it just to be safe. I had my original prescription and the card. They didn't care. They laughed at me for having a medical marijuana prescript. "Medical Marijuana? Haha! There's no such thing as medical marijuana" is what he told me. Another thing that pissed me off was that I never buy more than 65 dollar 1/8ths. Since it was Halloween, I decided to go full out just this once, and bought 2 different 75 dollar 8ths. They were Amazing looking and smelling. The cops took it all. All!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! A couple weeks later, the judge ordered me to do 1 "Facts on Marijuana Class" at the Long Beach Substance Abuse Center. The teachers were pretty cool, but the video is the biggest bullshit you'll ever see. According to the video, we don't have marijuana around anymore, but we do have NEW marijuana which is very very dangerous, blah blah blah! Because of these cops, not only did I lose 2/8ths of amazing bud, had to pay 500 dollars for a lawyer my dad found, pay another 100 for the Facts Class, and who knows how much I spent on gas Getting me down there. Beware, you have to go down there twice, once to sign up, once to take the class. With all do respect, Glendale Police can go ************************************************** *******************************!!!!!!!!!! Who the hell needs this headache and waste of extra money. If I'm not mistaken, I didn't officially do anything wrong. I wasn't smoking or anything when he pulled me over. I recently just bought a bumper sticker because of this situation. It reads, "The Greatest Danger of Marijuana is Jail Time" |

Rep Power: 10 | Re: Possession first of all, it took place in October of 2007. I had all my papers, everything in the car. When my dad hired the lawyer, the lawyer did something so that I didn't have to go to court. I guess the judge just talked to my lawyer who told me that I was ordered to do 1 Facts on Marijuana Class, and then it wouldn't go on my record. The only part I left out was before I went to the club, I dropped my friend off. Then went to a club. Then on my way back this happened. yea back then, meaning just about 8 months ago. Not like years or anything. |

Rep Power: 11 | Re: Possession Yes that is true if you are a patient you may request a legal patient's defense. Let me see young male no health problems. They profiled your age enough and if that wan't enough he ignored sb 420. Thats 's why you never take a dumb cops word they enforce the law and at times need to be reminded "lawsuits" ....yeah. So get a hold of someone who can get a hold of that old fart in court and get some of the cas back bro. |

Rep Power: 10 | Re: Possession Yea, that's what I really wanted to do. My lawyer said that it's a waste of time and money. He also said, the judge wouldn't care too much about the case because it's just a waste of their time since it's over such a little case, that we would win the case but we wouldn't get that much or anything so my lawyer persuaded us that it just wasn't worth all the hassle. Still though, that's another W for the "law enforcement". Quote:

Rep Power: 14 | Re: Possession is this glendale california? i work in glendale and actually grew up in la crescenta where its all glendale pd. growing up all my life being harrassed by these glendale cops! before i got my rec. i had many possession tickets. ive had my rec for 3 years and havent had a propblem since. ive been pulled over twice and one cop was cool. i should them my rec. and one was cool with it and one tried to give me a hard time. the cool one didnt take my meds or give me a ticket. the rookie asshole gave me a ticket and took me meds. the rookie tired to clown my rec. card. and i told him he didnt know what kind of pain i was in because he wasnt a doctor. he also asked me where i bought my card and i told him " you mean what doctor priscibed to me!" then he asked me if i was high and i responed with "im not in pain". so when i went ot court it was dropped by the DA. (DA reject). i could even go back and ask for my meds back. by law they would have to give it back to me since the case got droped and it was "evedince". When your father foots the bill, I'm sure inexpensive became high priority,. not this day and age, Dad probable paid for Jr's Rec, his Med's /car / Insurance, dad had to drive to bail him out of jail, and now pay for everything else,. Unless Jr has an awesome job and just living at home, saving his money but 'supporting himself',. if this is the case than I'm sorry,.. I wish I had parents like this,,. :smile2:

Rep Power: 35 | Re: Possession 1st of all, if you are swerving all over the road, what is a cop to think? Then they find weed, of course they are going to harass you. Why do people carry all their meds with them? Take them home somewhere safe, then go out and do your thing. This is more like a dui, then a med patient charge. It does state, when you recieve your rec, that you are not allowed to drive while medicating. We have to take more responsability for ourselves. I am very sorry this happedend to this chick, but we all have to be real careful on where and how we toke. We are still not in the clear, by far. Like I read yesterday that these dudes were speeding through Mammoth with hash and herb, and they toked in their car, so when they got pulled over, of course, they smelled it, and searched the car. |

Rep Power: 31144 | Re: Possession I would say that 8 hours is stretching it, 3 to 4 hours is what I would wait out, have even had officers tell me to wait at least 3 hours before driving before. But then again if a cop asks you how long it has been since you smoked are you really going to tell them you just did, hell no the answer is always 4 hours or more. |

We know when were not feeling medicated, it's safe to drive,. but it's like Alcohol, some people can drive just fine when their drunk,. how many hours is it safe to drive,. different case by case,. Smoking while your driving or stopping to burn outside your car just to get back behind the wheel,. is what's frowned upon,. Cop's know the truth,. don't lie or you'll get them pissed off,. I'd say .. Give a reasonable amount of time,. 2-3 is plenty IMO,.. Everyone is different tho,. so I'm sticking to the 8hrs like the Dr's recommend also. just to cover all cases..

Rep Power: 10 | Re: Possession Ahah, 1st of all, my dad and & my mom knows about the prescript and are cool with it. My dad, also made me smoke a j with him. He came with me to the meeting with the lawyer and basically just listened to everything the lawyer told us and quickly agreed with him. We all just wanted to get it over with. Y'know, who needs any of these headaches. It's freakin MMJ, way too many people have to deal with cops for no reason. It's terrible. |

Sure, everynow and then, but I didn't smoke in the car that night or that week. The smell is one thing, but the meds were totally kept away. Quote:

It ceases to amaze ,LEO pulls over a driver for an infraction ; what difference does it make if ya just blazed before driving ,or popped a oxy ,roofy ,etc. ??? as long as the vehicle is under control ,what business is it of theirs ??? ... Is it an infraction , or just another excuse of ignorance ... point ,if stopped ,glove box unlocked ,lo behold ,2 jugs ,1 a bottle of oxy ,714's ,tuinal ,etc ; the other bottle is a dr.'s recco of herbal relief ... both legal ... wtf ... ?/?
