I got caught with an eighth of weed, about a half gram of kief and a bong in Colorado a few days ago. I was put out on PR bond as I have no previous history, but they said I need to be "monitored" by a court here. Considering I have my rec, will I still be able to medicate while I await my fate next month?

Yes. As long as it's a personal recognizance bond and there are no specific terms applied to it. Once you go back for the trial, that's where you have restrictions possibly added if you end up having term of probation and are found guilty.

The law in CO is under an oz is basically a ticket called a "petty offense" (same as jaywalking or speeding) with a $100 fine. If they get you for paraphernalia, it's another $100. Sometimes they want 48 hours community service but it may be waived in court.

I hope this helps. If you had under an oz and a bong, I wouldn't lose any sleep over your medical use here in cali. It's when you are convicted of a crime and have formal probation that it gets sticky.
