just a little background, I am currently going through a custody case where my ex wife had me drug tested and due to the fact that I tested positive for cannabis she is trying to take my daughter away from me. The ex parte hearing was dismissed due to the fact that I have my recommendation and our hearing was set for May 16th. Her attorney has since requested a new judge cause she feels that our original judge would be to leniant on me and we now have a new judge which accoring to my attorney is a real right wing judge and she is now getting it change. My question is this, I am sick and tired of the judges and court systems working on their own agenda's when it comes to medical marijuana, which I am many others helped vote in as state law and as this is a state court they should not be able to make their own decision as to what they are going to do, it should be black and white but that is not the way it is. If I lose custody of my daughter over this, I am going to contact the media and tell them my story regarding the injustice of the court system and medical cannabis. Does anybody know the proper channels or any media people that they would recommend I contact if need be. I am willing to have this all over the news in souther california, cause it is just wrong, that I should be persecuted against, for a medication that has proven benefits and was voted into law. I really need any input my weedtracker brothers and sisters can provide to me.

Damn sorry to hear about that. I have always feared something like that, that if me & my girlfriend ever broke up that she would do something like that casue she knows that I am a heavy smoker and she is cool with it but you never know. Best of luck on your situation and hope all goes well.

I think i would call channel 7 first and if that failed i would call channel 4 news, next those are the most serious channels that cover everything i think they would help you, Next start praying and i will do the same let me know what happens if you can. And the recommendation thing when that comes up if the law on your side does not help, you may have to tell the judge that you will stop smoking if all else fails hope this was of some help i will keep you in my prayers.

Contact Fox for a TV station, They seem to show alot of MMj cases right as they come.... Go to your Doctor and Ask him to appear in Court for you, Ask him to talk in Court, Call or Email ASA if you havent already...

Don't feel bad..........double standards are everywhere with this issue. Just yesterday I received a letter from the county on my in-home services stating my doctor denied my claim, luckily the county overturned the denial. I figured the doc was pissed I asked for my medical record. I'm sure he knew the medical history was for a second opinion (PRO-ACTIVE) so I could apply for my card, since I started asking him for a prescription 6 months after the accident and that was in 2004. I finally got my card this May.

Next time you go to court bring your meds through security.........see what happens in the court house. Have your lawyer with you to witness the happenings...........basically your in a win win situation, depending on if your kind or kind of freaky.

I want to thank all of those who are showing your support, this is what makes this community more like a family. I will keep everybody updated as to what happens, we go to court for the hearing next tuesday. I have also emailed ASA and NORML and as stated before depending on the outcome, I will be contacting all media groups that will hear my story.
