Defendants *On September 26, 2007, the DEA raided five locations in Oakland and San Leandro, allegedly confiscating hundreds of edibles and 460 plants, and arresting Jessica Sanders (30), Michael Anderson (42), and Diallo McLinn (35). After a press conference on October 4, Michael Martin (33), who had been on vacation during the raid, voluntarily turned himself in. All four are charged with conspiracy to manufacture or distribute controlled substances and are out on bail. Tainted Edibles were available for patients as an alternative to smoking at dispensing collectives across the state. When: Friday, October 26th at 10:00am Where: Before Magistrate Wayne D. Brazil U.S. District Court (N.D., CA), at 1301 Clay Street in Oakland If you cannot make it you can donate to the cause for legal defense at www.freetainted.com. All of the support we can show for this case will go a long way as this is the most publicized case to date and has peaked the interest of Joe Public. Showing out strong will let the world know that we are united on this front and demand a stop to the senseless acts of violent prosecution being implemented by the DEA. |

I wish more people would become "ACTIVISTS" and do their best to show up for people's court dates. It is not easy for everyone granted, but a few friendly faces goes a long way when the government is fighting to lock you away over a plant. |

Michael Martin, one of the defendants, has just alerted me that this hearing will be postponed until mid-December. Please spread the word that activists should NOT show up this Friday at the Oakland U.S. District Courthouse! There is a "save tainted" halloween fundraiser in SF, a comedy benefit show in November in Plesanton, and a Holiday Bake Sale sometime later in the year. Check out www.freetainted.com to check out the horrific wounds to one of the defendants dogs as well. I hope that we can all get out to at least one, if not all, of the fundraising efforts on these fine folks behalf. It is important to show suport for the providers in the movement and show the world that we stand united in this war on medical cannabis. We SHALL overcome. |

It is a fundraiser for Tainted and there will be a costume contest. raffle, live djs and free drinks with donation. This should be a great time for all and we look forward to seeing everyone in attendance with their SPOOKY costume and kindred spirits. If you have never been to a Tainted Halloween event this is your chance. Be there or be square.   |
