Rep Power: 27688 | In order to gather the max support available here on WT, it would be helpful if any WTers familiar with CHC and its good deeds* would post testimonies here. Now is the time for CHC to call in all that gratitude. This would be a valuable standard operating practice here on WT when any provider faces the legal system. --------- SF WTers may recall that when Peron's club was faced with closure, there was a huge crowd of supporters out front. It didn't keep the club open, but it taught the cops a political lesson, and that fact has redounded to the benefit of the MMJ community ever since. On the other hand, it might account for the brutality of the WAMM raid, -bedridden patients spreadeagled on the floor at gunpoint, etc- as the DEA felt the need to send the message that they will not be deterred by irrelevancies like humanity, the will of the people, and the laws for which we voted.) *"Good deeds" do not include those which are refused if the recipient cannot pay full price, IMHO. (Retailing is not heroic or kind, generally speaking.) On the other hand, simply showing an MMJ storefront (benign to its neighbors) has to be counted as service to the patients in the trenches, even if the prices gouge. This is because, given that our recourse to law and MMJ science has proven ineffective so far, our only recourse may be to outgrow the DEA, to present the MMJ colors on the street in such numbers and so benignly that it becomes a practical impossibility to shut down MMJ. |
