The Joint/paperclip method:

Get some oil or goo or wax or budder on the point of a paper clip and touch it to the end of your joint and enhale deeply. In a pinch it works!

Why can't you smoke regular hash, and why aren't full melts recommended with the skillet? I was planning on purchasing one soon from either KM or Aqualabtech (does anyone know if they are the same ones), but now I'm feeling hesitant 'cause I would like to smoke more than just waxes and budders. Would a vapor globe be a better choice for me then?

I heard that the TI pads on the KM/WS version is 80/20 TI/SS - I'd rather have an all titanium one but they seem hard to find. Also, regular glass nails seem to not be the best device for delivering concentrates to the pad, or are they?

I know I used to put anything I would smoke on top. I always felt like that did the most good. And then I got a skillet finally, but the one I got I didn't like, it didn't work right. ( I know how can it not work? ) The plate was positioned so low all the smoke would go out, not in.

Yesterday I visited WS and got a new bubbler, and R-1 bowl. I liked this a lot better. Thanks for bringing up this subject. I have learned a little bit about what you guys are working with out there. I still love the skillet, but I am going to wait till I can get the "Right" one...

This might sound crazy but the best method I have come accross for smoking concentrates has been inside of a pookie. They sell them for tweakers at all head shops. Its a glass tube with a bubble at the bottom and a small hole in the bubble. You can load your concentrates and start by holding the lighter far away from the bubble moving it closer till you see it smoke up. Then your good to so. Those pieces cost like 5 bucks too! If only there was a way to get oils into it better. Best concentrate hits i have had are through these. Just make sure you dont let the flame get too close to the concentrates.

I just sprinkle it on top of the weed and light gently. It works great for me! I'd get an Atom Smasher, when I could afford one...I'd really like to use one of those gadgets.

you forgot to add in, a hookah coal and vaporizor whip hose to chase the smoke

use a paperclip to get the conetrate and place the small amount onto a red hot hookah coal and inhale the smoke!

If I'm making it myself, I put the bubble in the freezer(Right after making it), freeze it, then grind it to very fine dust, Leave it in the freezer (Removes moisture) ... then smoke, and if it don't bubble it ain't worth the trouble.

I LOVE my vapor swing, but I gotta say I am waiting to get an atom smasher. I like the ability to smoke various state concentrates (solid, semi solid, non solid) whereas my vapor swing is really only for semi solid and non solid. Don't get me wrong, the vapor swing is amazing for what it can do for taste and efficiency saving you money while it gets you higher and makes you smack your lips and say, "Damn, that's tasty"

...but...

I really like variety in my concentrates; one week I might be going crazy for oil, next week it might be ear wax, and follow it up with just some good ole fashioned hash! The atom smasher looks to be the piece I want to add to my collection.

Now, as far as the glass atom smasher (I've used) versus the titanium one (I've only seen pics).... that is a debate for the ages...

We just got some new R-1 concentrate bowls in at work so I grabbed one for myself and mmm Mmm MMM! Crumble some scissor hash or some full melt on the clean titanium screen, use a torch filled with clean Vector Butane super lightly over your sheesh (or a reg lighter if you must), inhale deeply, become extremely medicated as you enjoy the incredible clean flavor! I rediscovered my love of hash this week thanks to the R-1.

And by the way, contrary to what I said earlier if you only put a little full melt on the screen it won't melt right through. It just bubbles completely up. If you try to pack a super fat bowl of hash some of it will go through the screen.

Right now I use the ol' thumbtack and glass cup trick. It works, but its cumbersome and it doesn't work for full melts...

Does anyone know where I can get an atom smasher? I'd love to have one implement that can handle any kind of concentrate. Thanks

Just started using the technique "theWEEDreport" posted about...the one "STEVE-O" showed "hashbean" (nice vid on youtube)..... using the hakko and drop oil/wax/fullmelt hits then inhaling the smoke. the video shows him using a whip and then an attachment to his bong, but i just use the top to my glass gravity bong to catch the smoke.... works pretty damn well, considering I dont have any other special concentrate device. And when I run out of flowers to pack on top of, the hakko works wonderfully! Thanks to Dave or Big D whoever posts as theWEEDreport for posting that, really helped me out!

i just saw a vid of the atom smasher and i really wanna get one my only concern is will the glass wand tip ever break or crack from heating and cooling? i had a wand break on me

heres my thoughts in a quick review. as for the r-1 goes, ive personaly never tried on but it almost seams like a waste and you ingest some type of byproduct one way or another via butane or like to pics wood and ash from the match stick. as for the oil bowl its a great invention but you have to use the wand and that makes the wax or oil follow right up into the 3 top holes and wasting alot of product, and the oil dome work well but is complicated at times and you can tend to burn yourself easily, the atom smasher ive only used once and it was w/ wax (bad idea) cause its kinda like the oil bowl where you have to keep moving the glass wand up and down for oxygen purposes and the wand is so close to the vesel it seems to me like the whole piece might crack after enough uses back to back. now here we go, i think the kutvape/skillet/swing/ti plate is the best bang for your buck. its already been around for many years from brother and sister hashmasta kut and g girl. now people are starting to catch on and make and design similar products they all do the same thing but my hat goes off to cade at labworx and for kind meds for carying them. the skillet is idiot proof heat the ti plate up swing it under the bell housing and drop concentrates and enjoy. no hastle no mess and no byproduct from lighters or matches and no waste from wands or fallen through screens and no fidigiting w/ glass tools that might break from being heated up and being pushed up and down. hope i can help.

This is the best way that I have learned to date. Pack a bowl of your favorite medication.
Take whatever full melt or 1/2 melt you have ad break off a tiny piece.

Then completely flatten this piece as thin as possible. If the hash is especially hard, then I use the container it came in and a book or solid surface to press it down.

After it is completely flat lay it on top of the bowl, light gently while inhaling and the hash should catch part of the flame. Remove lighter and puff to keep it going. Usually lasts surprisingly long, and the smoke is clean.

Since the only concentrate I ever smoke is water hash, I do the bed of ash routine. I use a 7 inch glass pipe, which is long and thin with a big bowl and costs about $25 in any head shop. I pop in a glass screen (a buck or two each) with a tiny amount of ash on part of the screen it so it doesn't fall through. If it's a really good fitting screen, I don't use any ash at all. The best ones I've ever gotten looked like flowers. I put in a few hits and light it up with a bic. I take a hit, and put it out and wait a few minutes between puffs. Very easy, and I seem to get a lot of mileage out of my hash.
