thanks herb, i love seeing stuff like this. we all need to stand up and hit in the only place on their bodies they will feel anything, in their wallets! when cities start paying out on civil cases, they'll stop prosecuting or harrassing. it'll be to costly. we need to send that woman an enormous thank you.

No, I don't have her email but I believe she came to the Charles Lynch trials at least one day and was interviewed by CNN (if it's the same lady I'm thinking of)

I don't think it's gotten its own thread, but I've mentioned it a couple times.
I really hope this guy burns for this- he's just all kinds of crooked.
I first found out about Mr. Sheriff Pat Hedges several months ago when he was being investigated by the State for bugging his own employees!

Sheriff Hedges will not face charges on eavesdropping allegations

After nearly a year of investigating Sheriff Pat Hedges on eavesdropping allegations, the state attorney general will not press criminal charges, local officials learned Wednesday.
The decision came after a 10-month investigation by state officials, 15 interviews, a review of numerous documents and a review of the taped incident in question.
“They’re not filing any criminal charges and it’s because there’s insufficient evidence,” said Chief Deputy District Attorney Jerret Gran, who was informed of the decision Wednesday in a letter from the Attorney General’s Office dated Tuesday.
The District Attorney’s Office and the state do not plan to take any further action regarding the taping.
Local prosecutors referred the matter to the state in August 2007 to avoid a potential conflict of interest after they learned that the sheriff had secretly recorded a conversation between former Chief Deputy Gary Hoving and a subordinate.
Hoving filed a claim Sept. 7, 2007, against the county followed by a federal lawsuit alleging the sheriff had violated his civil rights during the taping on Oct. 13, 2006. The federal lawsuit is pending.
