Rep Power: 662 | An Open Apology To All Our WeedTracker Community... One of the first thing my Momma (rest her soul) taught her children was when you are wrong, you need to apologize. Plain and simple. I'd like to take this opportunity to address all of the Tracker community from the Admins and mods all the way down to the most new of the newbies. I'd like to take this opportunity to apologize to you all for the actions and words of myself and a group of my activists comrades. We, through our over zealous enthusiasm for the coming protest, have ostracized our WeedTracker family. Before I go any further please understand, this was never any of our intentions. Please believe this. From the bottom of my heart, believe me. Early on in the planning of the upcoming Oct. 6th Protest, it was stressed that our numbers at this particular protest was extremely important and unfortunately it became the "goal" of our group of activists to try and "make" those numbers happen. It seems we lost sight of the forest for the trees. In our attempt to "spread" our enthusiasm and get you all involved, we ended up pushing some of you away. Some of you who, otherwise, might not have ever been involved with something like a protest before. For this I'm really sorry. I, myself, have been protesting everything from nuclear testing to a woman's right to choose. I've been doing this for many years and I know for a fact I feel good about my motives and where my actions come from. They come from my heart and soul. The same as my comrades, Herbalicious, Zebrasmoke, Kush Meister, Evilstevo, Dr.Dirty(wanker) and all the rest of us. We all come from a pure place originally. Maybe we all need to remember that now and lay off all you. Some of you don't need to see our "Lynch" posts all the time. I can appreciate that. I hope you can all appreciate that we now understand that. Our passion comes from wanting the best for our community. Wanting the respect we all deserve. That, in part, is what this protest means to us. I hope it means the same to you all. Please know that in our purest of hearts, all we ever wanted was for "us" as a community to show the world how strong we are. I, for one, am tired of "them" snickering at our trite turn outs. I guess we all wanted this one to be different and in the pursuit of how to make that happen, we lost sight of what was important. We lost sight of our community. Again, personally, I apologize to you all for this. Without my communtiy all my endeavors are for nothing. I don't want my actions for nothing. Neither do my comrades. All I ever, all any of us ever wanted was for us, as a community, to show our strength. This became our goal. Unfortunately in our pursuit of this goal we lost sight of what's the most important aspect of compassion. Compassion...a word we throw around alot but what is at it's core? I believe if you peel back that "onion", you'll find respect at it's core. R-E-S-P-E-C-T. Find out what it means to...All of us. Different definition for each but in the end just being present and realizing others have a different feeling. Different but still very important. I apologize if "we" disrespected any of you. Especially the folks at the top. Know you've received lots of complaints about me and my crew and from the very depths of our collective heart, "we" apologize for the headaches this has caused all of you. This was NEVER our intention. Please believe that. What can I say? I'm so sorry for pushing any of you away. Given the nature of our different illnesses, the last thing any of us needs is to be made to feel "on guard". Unfortunately, I feel "we've" forced some of you to feel like this and we are ashamed of ourselves. Really. Ashamed of the fact we left our community disjointed and as far from unity as we could hope to be. For that, you'll never know how badly we feel for letting you all down. In the end that was our brightest hope. That we, as a community, could come together and be one. Now we've spintered that and how to heal that, I haven't a clue. It is my biggest desire for you all to open your hearts to the thought of activism and the positive aspects it can afford our community. I know full well that some of this community chooses to participate in their own private way and recogizing this, I also want to say thanks. Not everyone wants to be so public. This does not in any way lessen their contribution to our movement. Please accept our apologies we have made you feel under attack. Please know this was never any of our intentions. At this point, I'm not sure what else to say other than please find it in your hearts to forgive us. We NEVER intended to step on toes, push anyone away or hurt feelings. Please believe me. All we ever wanted was people to show up at this protest. That, truely, was our gravest offense. Please know that. On Oct. 6th I'll be at the Federal Court House. I'll be there, with bells on. I know for a fact when I look around, I'll be seeing some of my Tracker amigos. You're good people and I hate to think on that day, some of you won't be there because of my stupid actions. I'd hate that...forever. Please don't let my stupid actions ever keep you from doing what's most important. That, in it's self, is a crime. For those of you whom we "scared" away from activism, please give "it" another try as we come on more heavy handed than some and we need'nt scare those "pure" away from making steps that can make this a better community. We don't pretend to have all the answers and you might very well make the difference we all need. Hate to dissuade that. As Bertrand Russel once said, "The only thing that will redeem mankind is cooperation." I think we can all appreciate the relevance of that now. Peace, Farmer |

Yes, we all have gotten a bit caught up in the frustration of our situation, and I guess a handful of us finally cracked a bit, and began spewing our frustrations in ways that negitively impacted our goals, instead of inspiring them. I too am sorry for my actions....but not at all for my overwhelming passion. October 6th will be a great day for OUR Movement, and for Charles Lynch, and I will be proud to be standing tall, with however few, or many of my WeedTracker Family that show up! Thanks for allowing cooler heads to prevail, and thanks Farmer, for this wonderful post! Last edited by KushMeister; 09-18-2008 at 10:10 AM.. |

Rep Power: 78353 | Re: An Open Apology To All Our WeedTracker Community... Is this where I come to print out my coupon for some free Hash? Excuse me but human emotions are going to go Hand-in-hand when you feel passionately about a situation or subject. I do feel better now that this whole mess has been swept up into its own little closet. Even though, I will still support Mr. Lynch any way I can against these atrocities! I will see all of you on the 6th. I have a few more flyers and will distribute them conservatively to those who may actually show up! I don’t agree with the “cram it down your throat” tactics either. Too much information seems to be the problem here, and I agree. I have and will dedicate time when ever and where ever I can. I will not be judged for choosing to be neutral and just a foot soldier in this army, nor do I condone ostracizing an individual for being overly enthusiastic. As for being a wanker what can I say... It feels good and I'm not stopping for farmer, Wt, or YOU!, and Anyone who tell you they don't (wank) is a frustrated liar!! So I take it as a complement. Farmer you’re the wankerist dude ever!! Rep Power: 49433 | Glad to see that you all are playing nice again in the sandbox. All of you have a special place in our community. Some are more active than others. I respect each of you and all the opinions posted. Particularly Farmer's well thought and stated post. As a collective of common friends, family and acquaintances this is the time to really show our solidarity while keeping cool and organized without in fighting. Glad to see that it is resolved and makes me want to clear my schedule and find a ride so that I can attend. You guy's all rock my world and make me sing to the tune of a different drummer. I keep telling my HMO that living is my best revenge and that I haven't cost them enough money yet. My lungs are no worse than they were a year ago as predicted by the doctors. I do believe my use of cannabis via mostly edibles allows me to relax and my airways open so that I don't have to think about every breathe I take. I wear my ASA pin proudly and am glad to be part of a community that is making a difference. Anyone willing to drive Ms. Daisy, aka b1joy on Oct. 6th please let me know. Thanks. |

Rep Power: 137 | what more is there to say? farmer beat meto the punch on the apology, but it doesn't make my own dissapointment at the consequences of my own, as well others, posts regarding this protest. it disturbs me deeply that the focus of this "campaign for support and change", which this IS, has been diverted to a battle of words and hurtful attacks on our own people. i ask that you all forgive MY offenses, as well,... and try to understand our motives and frustration in organizing this. we may have support of larger groups like ASA, but we realize there is only so much they are capable of. we dont feel they should be expected to do it all for us. that we, every WT, patient, and co-op, have to each do our part, in our way to keep this wonderful right alive, and to show the world that we are NOT a bunch of stoners trying to get high. who dont care about anything, are unmotivated, and greedy. because that is NOT who ANY OF US ARE. we are patients. we are a compassionate people who can understand the pain of others and would like to help when possible. as offensive as my recent posts may have been, i chose not to single ANY club out because i was trying to keep our community from fragmenting further, while getting my point across. between myself and another user, we managed to somehow turn the boards against this entire message of community unification. while i had nothing to do with certain posts, i take responsibility for the context of those threads, as i posted the fuel which started this wildfire of bridge-burning. again, i apologize. my motivation is simply to protect the sick who cannot stand up and fight. there are many of us who can be there, and stand up for our comrades who physically or mentally CANNOT be there, no matter how much they would like to. these are who i stand for. i have met so many amazing patients, some of who can barely make it to a club, let alone walk around for an hour or two, some who cant even get the club. have their caregiver come because they are physically incapacitated. these are who i fight for. the pressure will stop. we have decide on a different approach, since this community is still rather hurt and apprehensive of our little group. we understand that many of you dont want to express your opinion publicly for various reasons, and we respect that. we understand, too, the financial hardship proposed in regards to the requests being made. we ask simply that you try to work with us, off the boards if necesssary, to make this a protest that sends the RIGHT message to the world. i do not condone violence, nor do i like confrontation much. i stand solidly behind a 100% PEACEFUL protest, one that sends a very clear message to this government. this really is not about just C. LYNCH. it goes well beyond him. everyone one of us is in jeopardy. patient, admin, owner, all of us. it just takes them a little time. we WANT to fight beside all of you, not against ourselves. we thank you for your compassion, patience, and understanding. we CAN make this a truly wonderful day for patients everywhere. |

I also want to thank the co-ops owners that I have developed a personal relationship with (you know who you are) and from all of us thank you SO much for your support. You are truly compassionate and in this for the right reasons. Oh, and just to thow this out again, if you're from the Valley and don't have a ride on 10/6, PM me and we will get you there! |

Rep Power: 937 | ahh lighten up farmer if your not a peestain then you probably like to get pissed on.at the end of the day you need only reconcile to yourself.for the end result of your conundrum is suffice it to say conjecture, and opine. I championed youand everyone efforts before, challengeing others to get involed or any enticements inducements to get more people involed! to that noble ideal of self sacrifice like mr. lynch did for us all there can be no wrong.anybodies criticism of your efforts and your approach is just that mitigating any validity by the collective efforts of all those that gave a shit about chuck. juxtaposed against those whose only contribution is criticism of how you rally the masses? being rude or critical of others without any constructive commentary on what would be better course of activism is more unproductive than anything negative you think you might say or have said in the past. inititive, passion is much better than criticism, which is something all of you are collectively guilty of thank you very much.don't say sorry it's a sign of WEAKNESS!!!just say I apoligise then continue.that is all. |
