I'm in a lot of pain right now. I've been going for over 12 hours straight become I feel so overwhelmed with things to finish in the next 3 weeks. I could really use as much help as possible. There are a lot of little tasks that need to be done. I'm going to use this thread to list as many little things as possible here...feel free to jump in on anything you can help with...

~CHILDCARE: We're doing everything possible to make it easy for mmj patients to attend this rally and some need childcare. We're looking for a location and people to volunteer to watch childern during to protest

~REGIONAL CAPTAINS: I can't do this alone. The westside is big. LA is even bigger. If you can distribute flyers and talk to collectives about this event THIS WEEK. Please do. We'll even tell you everything you need to know.


~ PHOTOGRAPHERS at protest: We need people to commit to taking high quality photos. We need pictures of the crowd but we really need somone to take photos of the Gratitude portion when we hand out "certificates of appreciation" to organizations, collectives, and individuals who have contributed to this community. It's for the community by the community.

~ A TIMER: someone with a stop watch to keep track of speeches. We have a lot of people to thank. NOT EVERYONE will speak but we will have ASA, NORML, MPP, GLACA, Charlies lawyers, Charlie (and others to speak) and they only get 3 minutes each. We need someone to be diligent enough to keep people on track.

~ CERTIFICATE DESIGNER: we need someone to design the certificates. I tried, it didn't work.

I'll post more when I am not in so much pain. Thanks in advance.

~ NEEDED: Media contacters: We need a few people to send press releases to local and national news agencies and do follow up calls to confirm the media will be there on 10/06/08

I can design the certificates - just email me with the pertinent info.

Also, ASA's media specialist, Kris Hermes, will be drafting a press advisory, sending it to all our media contacts, and calling all the relevant media that might be interested in attending. This will all happen during the week preceding the protest.

I really hoped I could make it to the rally, but I unfortunately have pain issues that have been acting up recently and I'm not sure I could handle the plane flight or car ride down. If I do make it though, I'd be happy to be one of the photographers and/or help keep time.
