We're looking for musicians to plan some protest, marijuana, and inspirational music the day of the protest. Music is powerful and we recommend those who are interested bring their acoustic instrument down to the federal courthouse. Are you down?

honestly herb... my guitar is too expensive to drag out in a crowd of people!
i thought about it... and i was really considering it... but i just can't chance taking a really expensive guitar into a mob of people!

ABSO-FREAKING-LUTELY! of course I don't know any MJ songs, or any protest songs, but i will gladly make some up as i go... or make ya listen to my original material till ya take the guitar away from me! or just play the hits of the 60s for ya!

hey i am getting old! i just can't play as many guitars at once as i used to! but i CAN juggle 3 chainsaws and play "Little Wing" at the same time! ya just wanna stand back... you know - just in case!

i'm horrible with a tamborine and eben worse with a bongo . but, put me on a trap set, and i''m john bonham meets elvin jones,the percussion goddess's gave me the ability to tear up a kit, but hand percussion i was holding the door for others.

that said, if someone wants to pull me around on a movable platform, i'll be your wind up monkey drummer boy.

i'll also be bringing noise makers for all,i'm gonna start looking for em now, thrift stores 5 and dime, um i mean .99 cent store, wow inflation.

herby i can help with this if you like, after all i am paid to make and record peoples noise.

As far as NOISE goes we have to be a little careful. Don Duncan is applying for a "special event" permit from the LAPD and there are certain rules we have to follow if we want to be good citizens. We are allowed to amplify music and spoken word (or both in songs) but there are still some requirements. Mostly we have to avoid being a noise nuisance because it's downtown we can probably get away with more noise than in a residential but we still want to be respectful of the surrounding businesses, governmental offices, and such. If we break rules or laws we want them to be strategic and well planned out. I think if we're making noise along with a song or protest chant than that's good, if we're just making noise that's not so good. Let's be as respectful as we can so no one can use the "pot head" stereotype against us.

herb - lighten up! kennabis was just saying that's what he does for a living! he records and does live sound. "noise" was just his way of saying "sound". you are gonna make yourself old before your time if you worry about every little detail! we will be respectful!

I would love for Kennabis to help use with sound. I think Yomy (I don't know how to spell her name) knows someone who will supply us with a portable amplification unit (and possible a little podium).

Kennabis, Don Duncan knows more about this than me and I am sure he'd love your help. Do you have his email address?

I don't want to discourage anyone in any way, I just want to make it clear that we are applying for a "special events" permit and we want to stay within it's requirements to show this world we can be civil, disobedient, or civilly disobedient and we choose to take the hire ground and will let the DEA and Feds look like the criminals.

LOL - i hadda re read that... somehow i missed that part about noise makers! no WONDER you were worried! it was sounding like a New Years Eve party!

so kennabis is a pro! i have questioned him and he really knows his stuff! I would even let him record or amplify me! and making ME sound good is a challenge!

Great it sounds like we have WT musical accompaniment. Yay!
