Concerts for Compassion?: Charles C Lynch

Hey,

Charles C Lynch is a musician. He minored in Music while getting a computer science degree. He had an idea to do Concerts for Compassion to raise some money. He's embarrassed to ask for money even though he's going to lose his home.

My Ex gave him a job doing website work for my Ex's company and my Ex has sent out info to his 10,000 + mailing list, so I am grateful for that.

But Charlie still needs some help.

Are there any LA musicians interested in helping organize a benefit show in LA for Charlie? Or anyone have access to venues or musicians in LA? I think Charlie is going to be doing a concert for compassion in San Luis Obispo county too.

Any suggestions, ideas, or help would be greatly appreciated.

It will be a Meet n Rock

Hey, Herb. I'm out in San Diego County and wouldn't be able to help with organizing the event. I would, however, be happy to perform a few songs, 15 or 20 minutes or so. It would be fun to meet some of my WT fiends in LA and support Mr. Lynch. If you're interested, let me know via PM.

Peace.

Sounds awesome! I'm a bass player and I have several friends that play in different bands in LA and some that tour internationally. Most of my music buddies are of the punk rock/hard rock persuasion, though I've got some "blues brothers", myself included for us "mature" folks... Let me know...unfortunately I am "bandless" right now, but I'd love to sit in and jam.

I have a small to medium sized PA system with several channel inputs and two speakers. Conceivably, even if you could find a non-traditional venue sans sound system, we could use my PA for music and any speakers you line up. Just some ideas: a private residence with a lot of room and some buffer, or a mixed-use industrial space of some kind. Not sure how many might come, but if it is 150 or less (and I know the goal is always MORE), there might be someone with a place or a space to accommodate them.

I don't have access to musicians, but my sister's in LA and is part of a very professional dance crew. I'm sure they'd be willing to donate their time to the cause. They've performed at several mmj events and have been well received.
