| Charles Lynch: My lesson is maintaining my NEGATIVE Quote:
Thank you for contacting me regarding Charles Lynch. You say I'm obsessing and making Charlie out to be a teddy bear. I am not sure if you realize how disrespectful your tone comes off in this private message. This issue means a lot to me. Please do not degrade it with your accusations, assumptions, and judgments. Have you met Charles Lynch? I never met him before his trial started. I saw a Drew Carey documentary about Charles Lynch and his patient Owen Beck. My heart went out to Owen and Charlie. I decided to show up to his trial because I'm interested in medical marijuana activism since I suffer chronic pain and find relief from cannabis. I've had stomach difficulties and drowsy issues with most the medicine prescribed to me. In addition to that, my condition is rare and many of the doctors, I visited in the first 2 years of this injury, had no idea what was wrong with me but instead of admitting they were clueless they end up misdiagnosising me and prescribing treatment plans that made my pain worse. You ronly experience with cannabis may be for recreational use mostly. I am not sure and I don't want to assume or judge you. My experience has been both recreational and medical. I sat in the federal courtroom during the entire trial and I think I know Charles Lynch, his dispensary, and the facts regarding the story better than most. I now consider him a friend. Which facts do you say are clear. The info you wrote to me was less factually based and more your opinion based off your understanding of the facts. Charles Lynch's medical marijuana dispensary did earn $2 million in the year it was open. His dispensary was the ONLY dispensary in San Luis Obispo county. The closest dispensary were 100 miles away in Oakland or Santa Barbara. Also that amount was NOT profit. The dispensary had a monthly lease to pay, employee payroll, venders, taxes and other operating costs to pay for. The location made very little profit. Charles Lynch ran his dispensary by ALL city, county, and state laws. He met ALL the requirements on his business license. He kept good records and ran a well-organized business from everything I've been able to gather. If you have any facts to the contrary, I'd be happy to see them. He had the support of the Camber of Commerce, city Mayor, and the city attorney. The Mayor and Attorney even testified on the behalf of Charles Lynch's law biding nature. As far as minors go, he sold to NO ONE under the age of 18 unless they had a parent with them. You imply Charles is a fucking idiot for what he did. I say he's a compassionate caregiver who was kind, honest, and compassionate with his patients, employees, and community. I'd appreciate if you could address me, Charles Lynch and the issue with more respect from here on out, please. It took everything I had to remain respectful | |

Understand that these types of PM's are going to be sent to you and reponding to them a lot of times only fuels the fire more. Last edited by weedtracker; 08-09-2008 at 02:30 PM.. You continuously break your butt, standing up for MMJ rights, and fighting for this entire community. It's likely that this Dick, doesn't do much more, than take his BS Rec into a Stoner's Haven of a Club, where he buys his $50 ounces of Schwag, so that he can sell dime bags to his High School Buddys. Not even worth the effort of typing a reply, as far as I'm concerned. |

This person obviously didn't read anything you posted because all of the information that is available on Charles Lynch has shown nothing but how great of a person he was and how good of a business man he was. He screams compassion. This person is just a typical half baked idiot who obviously isn't using MJ for the same reasons we are, nor do they reflect our community. Your doing a great thing. Your not obsessed your pissed, just like most of us. And besides I think if your going to obsess over anything its definitely a cause well worth it. |

I can't even begin to tell you how many times people have attacked me for coming to the aid of Stephanie Landa and Tom Kikuchi. But if you stay on point, which you did, and you stay on message, at the end of the day you find you've not only brought a great deal of comfort to the accused, you've educated a much wider circle than you think. But honey, start developing a thick skin NOW, because once you take up the cause of a cultivator or dispensary operator, people quickly forget these people are patients too, and endlessly accuse them of avarice and a host of other sins. Please hang in there. You're doing good work and it's difficult work. Don't get discouraged. |
