| I'm so happy I could cry...and I am! Good News! My Oncologist is taking me off this life draining chemo regimen and I'm going back for one more round of 10 week "light chemo" after a 2 week break! ( nothing 'light' about it..) He called me with my last tests and scans and said that he sees no more need for the devastating regimen I was getting... I'm celebrating with a happy dance. Being practically housebound in misery for a few months almost made me kill myself. Energy to live and have fun..... it's been awhile!   Please stay healthy and get those routine colonoscopies if you are over 45 or have GI problems! PS: He is tapering down my steroids slowly... No more embarassing and moronic online rages for me. WT'ers and bad drivers are much safer now! Down with death! Life Rules! The last two days have shown me there is light at the end of the tunnel..and it's not a train. |

I am a prostate cancer survivor (18 months post radiation),after surgery, external beam radiation and hormone therapy, so I have at least some small notion of what you must be experiencing. My best friend is currently doing your battle, against colon cancer. I am definitely smoking a bowl in your honor tonite good sir! ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ To the rest of you, take Living Green at his word..... go get tested. It is SO MUCH better to find problems before they become PROBLEMS. Early detection is your only chance at getting rid of cancer before it devastates your life. It is just too important to ignore. I am a perfect example of this! I was 49 when I was diagnosed with a cancer most men dont even think about until they are 65. I very simply would not be here if I had not had early screening. My cancer was an aggressive variant of the normal prostate cancer, 8 on a scale of 1-10 in agressivness, and late stage III. Another year, and it would have spread to my skeletal system, and by now I would be gone. Period. GET TESTED! |
