hello fellow trackers...
so i finally jumped on the Twilight saga...lol
i started reading the book about 3 weeks ago...
and i'm still on the first chapter.
dont get me wrong... I LOVE the book.
i'm getting so into it...but i just dont have a lot of time.
dc and i went to the park today with the pugs and i got to read a little bit. =)

I just finished reading Reefer Madness: Sex, Drugs, and Cheap Labor in the American Black Market by Eric Schlosser. The book is similar to Fast Food Nation in style but on the topics of marijuana legalization, the mistreatment of strawberry field workers,and the porn industry. I highly recommend reading this book.

reading 2 books currently:

still on my food reading kick----Alone in the Kitchen with an Eggplant, Confessions of Cooking for One and Dining Alone, edited by Jenni Ferrari-Adler. just started reading it...looks interesting.......musings on what we make for ourselves and eat when we are alone along with recipies.

and also just started reading: Love Life by Zeruya Shalev. translated from the hebrew (thankfully). about a married woman who has an affair with her father's estranged best friend from childhood.

I'm half way through 3 books right now:

"Never Eat Alone" by Keith Ferrazzi - expanding and maintaining networks of friends and business associates

"Simon Says" by Chuck Geotchel - defining your own meaning in life instead of what society says you should do

"Dirty Job" by Christopher Moore - an unsuspecting dweeb becomes a supernatural death merchant. I just finished "You Suck" by him and it was great!!!

I'm doing a research paper on Notes from the Underground by Dostoevsky right now for my summer school class. If anybody knows of some good scholarly criticism of it, p.m. me! I'd really appreciate it! I'm primarily applying Marxist theory to the text, with hints of Post-Colonialism and Freudian Psychoanalysis thrown in for good measure. :thumbup:

That book is amazing. What an eye opener. I'm moving on to Invisible landscape soon, after I finish reading DMT: The Spirit Molecule. I suggest you take a look at Magic Mushrooms in Religion and Alchemy by C. Heinrich, it's a great companion guide to Food of the Gods. Also "Astrotheology and Shamanism" can't remember who that's by, but they have an very awesome streaming video on google somewhere that is also a companion to their book.
