Rep Power: 538 | I'm furious - been having trouble walking for TWO YEARS, because of my stupid right foot heel arch, heel, and calf muscles! What have they DONE for me, ya wonder? Let's see - diagnose me with Restless Leg Syndrome (goes hand & hand with Fibro, so actually good guess), shoot my calf muscles up with cortisone every few months, etc. Look, I wear New Balance shoes, size 10 AA, when I need a AAA...my shoes are more expensive than I can afford, so I've always stuffed my shoes with inserts that take UP the space, and do the best I can do - and look for SALES on what does fit me. I'll take a 10 AA, if that's the best that CAN be done. I've been literally TRIPPING over my own feet, now I find out that's because I have this inch long looking 'finger' called a bone spur, and the pain I've been suffering is called, Plantar Fasciitis I officially QUIT trusting doctors! My best one, who diagnosed me properly with Fibro (within 5 minutes, no joke), passed away on me. I adored him, he was like a grandpappy to me. Turned out he was 81, was dying of stomach cancer (I saw the port at his wrist, but never wanted to quiz HIM, because I wanted to leave him with dignity). He'd help me now, he'd have it removed, I just know it! See, I had a slip & fall 2 weeks ago at a computer place; they had white pieces of granite in their planters, looks nice...guess some rascal thought he'd toss them at the wall (or her; don't want to be prejudiced). As we were stepping THROUGH the front doors, my right heel stepped on one, I did the WEEBLE WOBBLE, until I completely lost my balance, and landed on my shoulder, on the door jam! The resulting Xrays were all inconclusive to whether I broke my ankle or not; but in side views, it doesn't take an expert to SEE this stupid, inch long monster! Your tax money at work: Oh, ma'am, you MUST be a Diabetic, to see a Podiatrist, go through more pain, before WE REMOVE IT...otherwise, nada. Oh, and your blood test for diabetes shows the last test, you were at 79 - Hypoglycemic, NOT DIabetic. WHERE are their brains!? I slip & fall going down the damn hallway!! I don't give a damn what all the literature says on the books: BONE SPURS ARE AGONY! I happened upon a Compounding Pharmacy while they were open on Sat., and he sold me a tiny little arch support made of elastic, that goes around the ARCH, for what, $7? The next morning, I HAD NO PAIN for the first time since being diagnosed with everything. This monster MUST COME OUT, it hurts to walk, even sit and rest my feet on the floor! You'd think I'd have so many issues, someone would LOOK for a BONE problem, right!? Instead, they thought it was in my head all this time, give me boatloads of ADDICTIVE drugs, pat me, and send me on my way. You know how it made me feel, when Heath Ledger passed away, a year ago, on the EXACT same drugs I'm on (in part, I'm on MORE drugs)!? Hurt...hurt that's all they do to us in pain - boatloads of drugs, instead of taking the TIME to find out WHY we're in pain!!!!! As for my drugs, you think I take them all at the same time: of course not; just like with poor Marilyn Monroe, there's a crossover window on some of these drugs, which the docs don't tell you; you MUST always talk to the pharmacist!!! Anyway, thanks for listening. - Absynthe |

Rep Power: 538 | Well, since my rootcanal, this hasn't been as bad - rather, my other friend had given me a gift card for new shoes, so I finally USED it, on the best for walking: SAS shoes. I got the pretty, shiny black ones, that look casual, but not too butt ugly. They spent 2 hours fitting me, went through 4 different sizes (normally 10 AAA - 10 AAAA). But, since their shoes run large, settled for a 9.5 AA. My New Balance shoes that I retired, were TOO BIG on me, so I wonder if I could wear half a size smaller in those, too. Just at least re-learning to walk not being so bad, still a little unsure - but, I did bike up the hill twice the other day, because no weight on heels - before the tooth acted up! |
