If there is, in fact, this topical use, and we can throw away our Ben-Gay and Aspercreme and all those other snake oils, I would be pleased and honored to learn more about it for what ails my joints-- info, anbody???? |

Rep Power: 57 | Re: Anyone used cannabis oil for arthritis? Topical applications do work, and well, if prepared and applied properly. You'll probably want to suspend the olive oil in something else, maybe a lotion or beeswax, to allow it to adhere better to the skin. It'll take a little trial and error, but eventually you'll find the right mix for you. Several dispensaries carry products along these lines that are already prepared and packaged for patient use/consumption. Althought sometimes expensive, these may be a good starting point for patients who do not already have some knowledge of topical applications and creating them. I personally cannot get through my day pain or spasm free without topical applications. Most of the time if I see something new (in a topical application) in a dispensary I'll give it a shot. Most of the time they work, though sometimes they do not. I have found that the topical's I've made myself have worked very well. Do some research and you'll find a plethora of recipes & applications for cannabis oils, lotions, creams, topical sprays, ointments, salves, compounds, etc. Good luck and have fun playing with recipes. And if you find one that really kicks butt for pain and muscle spasm relief, please share. Not sure if recipes are allowed here. If so, I'll post a couple for everyone's use. Rep Power: 0 | Re: Anyone used cannabis oil for arthritis? We carry the best form of topical cannabis oil here, and I swear by it, because it healed my leg. The oil is made with cannabis, cinamon, casia, myrh and olive oil. The recipe comes from the Torah, even though I know KWK will dispute that, and heals, rather then just treats. If you have arthritis, or spasms, this is by far the best thing in the word to cure them. |

Rep Power: 609 | Re: Anyone used cannabis oil for arthritis? I use to volunteer at a shop, and one of the patients told me about a oil that one of his reletives used. He told me that it is an old homepathic remedy that comes from Mexico. It's dangerous to make because the main ingreadiant is honey oil, which is extracted with butane. I recomend purchasing your honey oil unless you like to play with pipe bombs. Anyway the honey oil is combined with herbs and applied directly to the area of pain. I was told it was very effective for nerve pain. I wish I could have gotten that recipe, but unfortanetly that never happened. Anyone ever heard of this treatment? |

Rep Power: 152 | Re: Anyone used cannabis oil for arthritis? I purchased the cannabalm for my mother yesterday and she said that the effects of the balm on her flame ups works better then anything shes ever tried whether it be another balm like a tiger balm, bengay, boswellen. It took the pain away almost instantly for her but it only lasted 45 minutes. But shes pretty much ready to be the spokesperson for that stuff haha. It was the balm not the spray and it was the warming eucalyptus. Id suggest everybody at least try it out cause nothing ever really works for her. |

Rep Power: 0 | Re: Anyone used cannabis oil for arthritis? yes, it seems to work for my aches and pain. but it seems hard to find at the collectives and i heard a lot of them do not want to carry it anymore. I made my own by soaking the herb in alcohol with rosemary and eucalyptus, then added some aloe gel so the alcohol would not be so drying on my skin. Soak it for 7 days, add aloe the last day. |

Rep Power: 0 | Re: Anyone used cannabis oil for arthritis? I've had great success with the Glycerin Tincture mentioned above. My arthritis attacks my knees and ankles and rubbing small amounts of the tincture to those areas has been very soothing. It has been working great for spot pain as well as a preventive measure. Even with the wet weather I have been pain free ever since I started applying/massaging in the tincture! |

Rep Power: 3184 | Re: Anyone used cannabis oil for arthritis? I've had some trim, sweet leaf, and a few buds steeping in isopropyl alcohol for three weeks. Just the other day, I tried rubbing it on my shoulder; which was pulsating with arthritis pain. It did help temporarily. This was my first time trying this, and I'm not sure how well it works, but I'm going to see if continued use helps any. |
