Rep Power: 0 | regulate doctors!!!!!!!!!! I hate to say this but we are all at the mercy of the DEA. No matter what we do regulate, protest, run our co-ops legitimately, pay taxes, follow all of the state guidelines co-ops will continue to be raided by the dea. They see co-ops as illegal drug trafficking orginizations and theres nothing we can do to change their views. Possibly if Doctors didnt pass out scripts to any joe who is willing to pay 100-300 $$$ and actauly gave scripts/recomendations to legitimately sick people we would have some ground to stand on. As a former co-op director I will be the first to admit that a good amount of patients are young adults who appear to be perfectly healthy. As a co-op we are required to verify a patients reccomendation thats it. Its not our job to determine if the patient truely has a valid medical reason for using marijuana. I think our problem with the dea is partly the fault of all the DR who could care less about their patients and more about making money. So what im saying is someone needs to regualte these doctors. I sit here and try to figure out what is wrong with this picture and its the doctors. If they didnt pass out scripts like candy we wouldnt have 200 co-ops because we wouldnt have the number of patients we have now. Thats my opinion. __________________ |

Everyone knows the doctors that require medical records of a verifiable medical condition covered under the law. And everyone knows who the doctors are who don't require any medical records at all. You already have that information and to say it isn't your job is ridiculous. You can exclude patients of the doctors you already know that do not require records quite easily. Doctors are already regulated by the medical board, let the medical board handle the bad ones, and they will on their own time schedule. And if you think a Dr. is writing bum recs, take the initiative to call the medical board yourself, and ask them to look into it. You can do so anonymously. Again and again the cry of "but but but the dea doesn't recognize medical anyhow, they will bust us no matter what we do" is like a broken record around here that makes no sense. You got into this knowing it was not legal federally, and your job is to present a medical face, a legitimate face, a non-recreational non-stoner legitimate reputation in front of the community. What has your dispensary done to make the job of the DEA unpleasant and looking cruel and foolish in front of the community and the media, or have you done the opposite and made them look like heros? Just curious, not accusing you of anything, but I'd like to know for the hell of it. | |
