Saturday, May 19th, Newport Beach: Medical Cannabis Activist Town Hall

Please join Steph Sherer, ASA's Executive Director for an Orange County Activist Town Hall on May 19th from 3-6 pm. This event will be a an opportunity for the community to come together while Steph walks everyone through a strategic planning session to create next steps for Orange County implementation of Prop 215 And SB 420. This will include defining problems in the community, as well as determining goals and creating campaigns to tackle these problems and achieve community goals.

Steph Sherer will also give a brief update from ASA about national and state campaigns.

I would love to attend this but I will not step foot back into Newport Beach due to the fact that there police department is ran by corrupt cops who will arrest you as a patient, trust me just went through it saturday night. They flat out told me that cannabis is illegal under federal law and they are instructed to treat it as such. Until my arraignment and hearing is over I cant take the chance of getting harassed in that city again.

One of the main issues we'll be discussing at the town hall is continued problems with law enforcement's treatment of patients in the county. I understand if you cannot make it, but please help us spread the words so we can develop a strategy to overcome problems like this.

I will definatley let those patients i know to attend. I really hope your group can get these scum to comply. It is sad when you dont know what city you can travel through without getting harassed or arrested for complying with the law.
