Rep Power: 370 | Attention Seniors: Check Out ASA's New Website Designed for You Greetings, Over the past several months, ASA has been working to improve our services and access for the condition-based unions. Many of you have begun posting online in our Seniors’ Forum, filled out the Seniors’ Union survey, which was released last summer, viewed the Retirement Living Special on medical marijuana, and given us great feedback on how we can further serve our unions. In our constant effort to improve our services and strengthen the movement, we have two very important announcements to make today that concern you! I am pleased to announce that ASA has designed a website specifically for seniors, which is being launched today! The Seniors' Union Website provides information about medical cannabis issues and aging. In the future, ASA intends to roll out similar websites for our other condition-based unions as well. You can check out the website at: http://medicalmarijuanaandseniors.org If you are a current union member or are new to Americans for Safe Access, medical marijuana, and the Seniors’ Union, please be sure to browse this website. Check out some of the website’s many resources for medical marijuana patients and seniors including: aging and medical marijuana research, an online seniors’ forum, testimonials from seniors, online video, and much more! Take at look at: http://medicalmarijuanaandseniors.org Next, ASA is revamping our Seniors’ Union leadership team, and is implementing new programs to further engage our active Union members. We are now asking all Seniors’ union members to help strengthen ASA’s union by completing two easy tasks: 1. Write a short testimonial to explain how medical marijuana has affected your life. Visit http://www.AmericansforSafeAccess.org/SeniorsUnion to fill out the contact sheet and testimonial. Please be sure to let us know whether or not you want to allow ASA to publish it. 2. Fill out and complete ASA Seniors’ Union Survey. http://www.safeaccessnow.org/union_survey.html Those of you who complete these two tasks will become basic members of the union. If you are already a union member, we ask that you renew your membership by filling out a testimonial and completing a survey. New members will receive an ASA Seniors’ Union welcome package via mail. We strongly encourage members who have already completed the basic membership qualifications to take on a greater leadership role and apply to become a community ambassador. A Seniors’ Union ambassadors assist ASA in our outreach by writing letters in support of medical marijuana to other seniors’ groups such as the AARP. If you wish to become an ambassador, please e-mail or call Sonnet Seeborg Gabbard at (510) 251-1856 ext. 321 or Sonnet@AmericansforSafeAccess.org. Thank you for your support. It is people like you who help build the movement. Sincerely, Sonnet Seeborg Gabbard Field Coordinator Americans for Safe Access P.S. Become a member of ASA today! http://www.AmericansforSafeAccesss.org/Donate Americans for Safe Access is the nation's largest organization of patients, medical professionals, scientists and concerned citizens promoting safe and legal access to cannabis for therapeutic use and research. |

Rep Power: 0 | Wonderful addition! I'll have to e-mail this link to my MOM...she just discovered e-mail!! She has stuck with me in my court battles, and stood beside my belief in this miracle medicine called cannabis!! This is a great way to show her more on cannabis. |
