Step up folks!!!!!!![/QUOTE You know Wallawalla I am totally disappointed by the lack of concern from the Socal co-ops. Every time there is a raid patients respond to help the co-op that is being raided but for some reason when we request their help we go unnoticed, I am really sorry that I started this thread as of now 3 clubs said they would send an employee to the protest while one said they would think about it. Really makes you feel good inside when you know its all about the money. Soc-cal co-ops you should feel ashamed right about now!. Last edited by weed4life; 10-26-2009 at 12:44 AM.. |

Wo Wo Wo................ Time out folks I am Tom T, I have been in this movement before it was even legal in 1996, I was in college working on my ciminal justice degree when I was writting about the medinical use of Marijuana, the capitilistic side of it, and other aspects! I am 35 years old now, I have been in the legal movement for around5 years or more, advocating at all levels, from raids, court support, to Politician meetings, county board of suppervisors and city council to mention a some. I have, and many others that have done way way more than me have helped!!! We all play a part of helping, even the idiots on the other side of our fence, they even help promote us!!!! NOW, what is this threat about anyhow, What do you patients need help with? I am a patient that works at a collective, I and the collective I work at will help in any way positive for humans rights and medical marijuana!!!! PLEASE advise what you need.... Thank you, Furthermore, I have my opinions about EVERYTHING, as all of us humans on Earth are supposed to!!!! America, Well it is a democratic, capitilistic society, I have allways asked this question................................... WHY should people, (COLLECTIVES) have the right to make money....The operators work harder than Real Estate Brokers that own offices, It's harder than owning restaraunts, harder than owning call centers,,,,,AND I know this because I have done all the above mentioned, EVEN operated my own collectives. I am not mad or hurt, I just think putting any1 or any collective down for having faults, unless REAL BIG ONES (ie:selling to minors, patients w/o reqs, other drugs, you get it) is not COMPASSIONATE, they ....we all are in the front lines for ourselves, and patients rights, WE LOVE OUR PATIENTS, so again PLEASE let me know what you need and I will help.......... Thank you for listening to me, Tom T.

Rep Power: 4227 | Tommy, I am not trying to offend anybody I would like the people that profit the most to join the cause. 50 people at a protest is such a small fraction of the mmj movement we need to get everybody involved. I would like to see the co-ops step up to the plate and send somebody to represent them. If that happens 50 would grow to 500+ that is what we need to be heard. Its easy to allow others to do your work for you, we need your help now! Sorry if this offends you Tommy but we all have a voice, Weed4life Last edited by weed4life; 10-26-2009 at 02:44 AM.. |

Rep Power: 10261 | Re: Question to all Socal Co-ops? I won't need to buy any flowers for awhile now, but the one place I still go for concentrates sent people to the last protest and offered to drive a few patients along too. This is a move I thoroughly agreed with and only serves to reaffirm my choice of C.A.R.E.givers. I'll be at the next protest provided I have enough warning to juggle my schedule. Because of the sensitive nature of my employment and Reserve duties, I have not attended past protests because I did not want to be on camera. This time I will be there in a simple surgical mask and appropriate ID to show any leo's concerned with masked people hanging around. Which I don't blame them for, I'll just make sure my back's to the cameras when that happens. I encourage others with similar privacy concerns to do the same. For those who would disagree with that tactic, I couldn't care less. Better than not showing up at all. |

Not putting folks down, But i have done all you are talking about also! And yes I still think they all need to stepup to the plate! I have been around for many years also as I am in my mid 40s! So do you think each place can not afford to send 1 volunteer?

Rep Power: 4227 | Does anybody else find it alarming that only 6 clubs have answered yes to this question with one saying they will think about it. I am very disappointed by the results of this poll, it's hard enough to get patients to go to the protest, you would think the co-ops would be all over this. I think this poll shows there is very little interest in co-ops protecting ours and their rights. Thank you to the seven clubs that participated, Weed4life Last edited by weed4life; 11-14-2009 at 12:18 PM.. |

Rep Power: 4227 | Re: Question to all Socal Co-ops? Co-ops could you please take a second and vote on this poll. At this moment only 6 clubs voted yes with one maybe. Come on I know you guys can do better then that. Not voting gives us the impression you do not care. So please take a second to let us know you care. And for the record I have no intention of bashing anybody I'm just a little frustrated by the lack of a response, Weed4life |

Rep Power: 113121 | Re: Question to all Socal Co-ops? Ya know, I've been turning this over in mah puny brain for a while trying to think of another reason why co-ops would be so reluctant to participate, other than greed and apathy, of course. I've been wanting to post this thought for a while, but was hesitant to do so because it's a little dicey. Now I'm past the point of caring about offending co-ops. So here's what I came up with: these co-ops may not be attending because their attorneys have advised them not to. I sincerely doubt any co-op will be willing to admit it, but maybe a former volunteer would be willing to confirm or deny this? |
