Rep Power: 0 | Re: petition asking Obama to stop the raids We patients must quickly move to remind President Obama of his campaign promises that he must uphold. We need to remind him of the huge fiscal gains that medical marijuana can yield, as well as the ethics and history that has plagued us patients since this proposition has passed. Not just California patients but the patients of this great nation deserve the freedom that we have been granted under the law. We need to remind the Federal Government that State law supersedes Federal Law. This Nation was founded by dissent and into dissent it may go if the right moves are not taken in this economic recession, I propose that we let logic prevail, I propose that we not only demand to lower the funding of the DEA during these economic hardships, but we punish those lawmakers in violation of the law. We can lower the DEA's funding and push it toward Homeland Security so the real bad guys are being hunted and stalked, just as our fellow patients and other American freedom fighters have been over "The War On Drugs" The real war on drugs lies at the heart of the pharmaceutical industry, if we can have laboratory medications and we can use other natural plants such as Aloe Vera and many others then why not marijuana? This government is of the people and by the people, if alcohol is legal and cigarettes are legal then why not marijuana? The tax benefits would obviously be higher than that of tobacco and alcohol combined. How about government regulation? That would be fine with me, it would allow for greater substance control than all of the policing today combined. All this regulation and production will ensure jobs for ten's of thousands of Americans! This is money well earned that many American's need right now. Not to mention to benefit of growing more plants in this Global Warming catastrophe that many have been speaking about... Be The Change. |
