I think it was politics. I truly believe Cooley called in some favors at LAPD and had them raided to send us a message. If the charges against CK turn out to be "selling marijuana over-the-counter", I believe this is trumped-up bullshit that can easily be traced to Cooley and Trutanich. The MMJ community needs to stand up and challenge these officials if this turns out to be another smash and grab operation. Cooley and Trutanich have a theory about the law, and just about all others disagree. If they coerced LAPD to act out on that bullshit, they need to be exposed, and NNCC needs to be paid damages. Yes, CK is a personal friend, so yes, I am biased. I would do anything in my power to help him and NNCC. Lets write letters to the council and be sure to mention the raid at NNCC. I highly doubt anything illegal was going on at NNCC. I spoke to a very smart activist over the weekend, and he theorized that the recent poll that reported 75% in favor of regulation came two days late for NNCC, and that had the poll been released earlier, there would have been no raid. Lets get busy people!!!

IMO the Narco-DEA-Prison complex that attended the Montebello luncheon told, either up front or behind closed doors, that they would lose their support next election if they tried to dry up their gravy train.

The Narco cops depend on the illicit drug trade for their livelihood. The more they bust the more they make. As to why NNCC, because they were the best club and therefore the one to inflict most damage to our morale. A calculated attack.

If you looked at the interviews when Cooley and Nuch did their little show with the raid can for the cameras, Cooley especially looked like a man who had been ordered by some powerful and nasty people. He actually looked a little shell shocked to me, having to put the rest of his political career on the line in one swift move. That day sealed his destiny so to speak. I think he sold his soul down the river that day.

Again I stress al MMJ users must register to vote in order to one day have an impact. So far the giant sleeps but I hope the proddings by these little people will one day rouse our collective self from our slumber and we will rise up, a giant, terrible to behold, flexing our political arms and wielding our vote like a club.

So rise up! Awaken, Sleeping Giant and brush away those annoying gnats.

As far as NNCC goes, I'm ASA's Raid Captain for the San Fernando Valley and I was on the scene that day, though not as quickly as I would have liked, because of traffic.

Based on what the lead officer said, and what I saw while I was there, the house of compassion will prevail. This intrusion, like the Karma Collective raid, is not going to stand up in court.

I hope, that when the time comes for court support, and rallies you all remember to be there for NNCC, because they sure as hell were there for you.

Thanks for the update! You just brightened up my day! That NNCC may come back is so great. I've been hoping this last donation I'm going through that I got before the raid won't be the last.

Would you please inform the community on that court date so we can show up in support? And yes, folks, for court one should show proper respect and observe certain decorum, i.e. dress as best you can, neat and clean and wear a suit if you have one. I believe some courts even have rules and may not let you inside the courtroom if you wear shorts or sandals.

I don't know that as fact, I am just assuming. CK is an honest and extremely hard-working family man. It's a shame he had to be treated like a thug.

I am sure if all MMJ patients would show them selfs we would have the power of the people. BUT because Marijuana has been illegal for so long and the everyday person still believes some of the BS about the evil weed we don't have an easy time. Two things need to change for us to prevail. 1) People who need and or use the medicine need to loose the fear an stand up (register to vote) and 2) We need to change the mids of the public as to the safety and medical benifits of MARIJUANA.
So as I have said many times we need a new face on Marijuana reform . With that said I hope the charge against CK and NNCC are just that "Over the counter cash sales" and not ? I never went o NNCC but believe they were loved and returned that love with compassion. Let sit in or stand around in protest write everybody talk to co-workers and family. Get-er-done!

Public image has already won IMO. Problem is that the politicians lag behind the public on these issues. We just need to vote and get active and care more about what we have to protect.
