Does anyone know the enforcement rules / laws for bringing MM through LAX? Im traveling from socal to north cal, and I know this has been a gray area. I found some info on the internet saying that they LAX screening doesnt care as long as you have your proper documents on you. Anyone have any experience with this?

oo interesting.. I wouldn't count on it though.. bringing medication on airplanes is always dangerous in my book

I used to be a flight attendant, I always
carried my meds with me, there is a fool
proof way for females, once you get on board
you can then take it out, rinse, and place in bra.
Getting on plane is always more touchy than landing
and leaving. unlubed profilactic. compacted.

I dont think thats an option for me :)

I think TSA screeners dont have the authority to arrest, but they can detain, then turn over to local state authority, and they should let you go,... thats just my impression. I cant believe there is no info on this.

DON'T DO IT - NEVER EVER - Airports are federal land - you could go away for a very long time - as it is considered smuggling. And it is a federal bust, to boot. Cal law will have no bearing. Not even the US Supreme court could help you.

a few years ago the TSA issued a statement about MMJ saying they would not confiscate meds our detain anyone ,I read it in the oaksterdam news,I will try to find it and post it if I do

TSA spokesman Brian Doyle said Friday that he's no lawyer, but "to the best of our knowledge, if it's legal in California, you can travel with it.

The key point is that HE'S NO LAWYER.

I wouldn't do it unless I was absolutely sure, even then it still feels too dangerous.

LAX is Federal property.
I would not take MMJ on site there.
Feds don't care about Cali law.

I didnt search WT, but there have been several stories of folks busted at LAX and other airports... TSA has shown zero tolerance in the past for any "contraband" and has detained for FEDERAL officers since airports are FEDERAL jurisdiction.

Everything I have read here says do not try unless you choose to battle in court.

Since you are doing the travel in California, wouldnt it be MUCH safer to just get yourself pre-approved at your destination, and get your meds there?

No hassle at the airport that way, for absolute CERTAIN......

OK, its the middle of the night and I am tired... but unless I am mistaken, UPS ground shipments are still regulated by the DOT, a Federal agency, and I believe UPS has demonstrated a zero tolerance attitude in the past, even for shipments INSIDE California.

alot of the coops get the crap in the mail, people at the post office might steal it and smoke it though lol i wish i worked there. i got this bubble bag and it came fed ex this one time. it was late so i naturally assumed there was a fed ex truck somewhere with a broomstick holding the stearing wheel while the guy was in the back making some hash with my bubble bag. bring it on the plain with you but keep it in your pocket so if you get caught just eat the weed. TSA isnt trained to throat chop people digesting weed i dont think so you should be able to get it down before anyone firgures out what the hell your doing
just dont bring an ounce lol

Wt'ers: Listen up, people, never carry meds on your person or carry-on bags when boarding a plane. They will have to hand you over to local authorities and confiscate your meds. If nothing else you will miss your flight!
Seal it real good in baggies, plastic wrap and scotch tape and conceal it in you checked baggage. You shouldn't have a problem.

Oh and also because it is considered federal your MMJ status dont mean dick.
