this is good advice no matter WHAT kinda computer you are buying. get the biggest Hard Drive and the most RAM you can afford.... that way you fend off obsolescence much longer. but my 7 year old mac was running the latest version of OSX with no problem. so Macs don't get all that obsolete really!
