| Re: blood pressure and high heart rate I had something very similar happen to me over the labor day weekend. I was struggling to breath, had chest pain. When I was admitted to the emergency room BP was 222/160, and began sweating badly. When the cardiologist did an ultra sound of my heart, he told me the heart is operating at only 30% and that I had had 2 recent mild heart attacks. I thought he was trying to scare me because I smoke cigarrettes. Several days later when I went to see my regular Dr, and told him what had happened, he informed me that 25% of all heart attacks are silent and you don't even know your having one. They loaded me up on B/P meds. The B/P then went down too low 80/55. They had to adjust the meds. Hope this info helps. |
